LISA'S POV

It was the next morning, and I woke up in an empty hotel room.

I rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up, looking around. The beds were made, the curtains were half-drawn, and the room was eerily quiet. No one was here.

"What?" I mumbled to myself, feeling confused.

On the nightstand, I saw a folded note. It was from Jisoo.

"In another meeting. Don't wait up." Typical Jisoo. I sighed and set the note aside.

My phone buzzed. It was a text from Rosé.

Spending time with family again today. Don't get too bored without me :)

I smiled at her message, but then a thought hit me.

Where are Taehyung and Jennie?

Shrugging it off, I turned on the TV and flipped through random channels, trying to distract myself. But the silence in the room made every second feel heavier.

Then, suddenly, I heard a noise at the door.

"Lower it down!" Jennie's voice groaned as she walked in, looking frustrated.

"What the?!" I practically yelled, startled.

"What?" she asked casually, walking toward me like nothing was wrong.

"I—I thought you were out with Taehyung," I stammered, watching her carefully.

She giggled softly, shaking her head. "No, Taehyung's at the gym."

I blinked at her, still surprised. "Then why are you dressed like that?" I asked.

Jennie was wearing a sharp, fitted business suit that made her look intimidating but stunning at the same time.

"I have a meeting," she explained simply, adjusting her blazer.

"Oh... I hope it goes well," I said, smiling at her.

She giggled softly, her expression softening. "Thanks. I should probably go now. See you later." She waved slightly before leaving, the door clicking shut behind her.

And once again, I was alone.

A couple of hours passed, and it was already 6 p.m. Jennie had left around 2, and Jisoo still hadn't returned from her meeting.

Taehyung came back earlier but left quickly, mumbling something about going to church.

So here I was, sitting alone in front of the TV, staring blankly at the screen.

All of a sudden, the door swung open. Jennie stormed in, her face red with anger, groaning loudly.

She slammed the door shut and stomped straight into her room, shutting it harshly behind her.

"Uh... okay?" I muttered, blinking in confusion.

I hesitated for a moment, then got up and quietly made my way to her room. I knocked lightly before peeking inside.

Jennie was lying face-down on the bed, her arms stretched out dramatically.

"Jen, are you okay?" I asked softly.

"UGHHH!!" she groaned, burying her face in the pillow.

"You don't sound okay," I whispered, stepping closer.

She suddenly sat up, her hair messy, and looked at me with frustrated eyes.

"They want my company to combine with Taehyung's company! And I don't want that, because I don't even like Taehyung!" she yelled, her voice breaking with anger.

I blinked, then smiled gently at her. "Let me cheer you up!"

She gave me a skeptical look. "How?" she groaned again.

"By going to... DISNEYLAND!" I yelled happily, throwing my arms in the air like a child.

She looked completely unimpressed.

"Aww, come on!" I groaned, pouting.

"No. That place is too happy," she muttered, rolling her eyes.

"B-But I have a season pass," I pouted harder, hoping to break her wall.

She just shook her head.

I sighed dramatically, then grabbed her hand before she could protest.

"You're coming with me," I declared, pulling her out of the room.

Dragging her to the limousine, I told the driver, "Take us to Disneyland." He nodded immediately.

Jennie crossed her arms, glaring at me. "I'm not okay with this."

"You'll be later," I said confidently, smiling at her.

We finally arrived at Disneyland, and the second I saw the glowing lights and heard the cheerful music, I was grinning ear to ear.

"Come on! Let's go on this ride!" I said, dragging Jennie by the arm like an excited kid.

We went on plenty of rides, and despite her protests, Jennie screamed like a baby on every single one.

Cute, I thought, hiding my laugh behind my hand.

Eventually, we got hungry, so we went to a little restaurant inside the park. We both ordered burgers, and not long after, a waitress brought over a tall chocolate shake with two straws.

"I ordered that," Jennie said with a smile, sliding it between us.

I nodded, taking a sip. But then Jennie leaned in and took a sip at the same time, her eyes locking with mine as she smirked playfully.

Boom! boom! boom!

My heart started fluttering wildly.

She looked at me and smiled knowingly. "What? Is your heart fluttering?" she teased.

Yes, I thought, panicking.

I quickly stood up and focused on my burger, eating quietly to hide my flustered expression.

Jennie chuckled, then reached into her pocket. "Here, have this." She handed me a small heart-shaped charm.

"Thank you," I said softly, holding it carefully in my hand.

Later, as we walked through the park, the fireworks suddenly started. Bright, colorful explosions lit up the night sky, and I jumped slightly at the sound.

I looked up in awe, completely mesmerized, but in the corner of my eye, I noticed Jennie wasn't watching the fireworks at all. She was looking at me, smiling warmly.

Before I could say anything, she took out her phone and snapped a picture of me.

I turned around quickly, raising an eyebrow, but she just grinned.

"Look, we recreated the photo," she said, showing me the picture she had just taken, right next to the old one from four years ago at the amusement park.

My heart softened as I smiled. She had kept that photo all this time.

As I turned my gaze back to the sky, I suddenly felt a hand slipping into mine. My eyes widened, and I looked down to see Jennie's fingers intertwined with mine.

Slowly, I looked back up to see her watching me with a tender smile.

Boom! boom! boom!

Bad timing, heart...

Before I could react, she leaned closer, and I froze.

Then I felt her soft lips press against mine. My eyes fluttered shut, and without thinking, I kissed her back.

When we finally pulled away, she looked at me, smiling softly, her eyes shimmering under the glow of the fireworks.

"Thank you... for making me happy."
