LISA'S POV

"Lisa! Lisa, wait!" Jennie's voice echoed behind me, desperate and shaky.

I turned my head just slightly and saw her running toward me in the rain, her hair sticking to her face, her clothes completely drenched.

She finally caught up, stepping in front of me, blocking my path.

"Let's go back inside the restaurant, please!" she begged, her eyes wide with worry.

"No! I don't wanna see you and Taehyung together!" I yelled, my voice cracking with anger and pain.

The rain mixed with the tears already welling up in my eyes, and I hated how broken I sounded.

"Please, Lisa, you're going to get sick," she said softly, her voice trembling as she looked at me with pure concern.

"I don't care if I get sick. Then too bad," I snapped, turning around to leave, but suddenly Jennie's hand gripped my arm tightly, pulling me back.

"You think it was easy for me?!" she cried, her voice breaking as the tears spilled from her eyes, blending with the raindrops.

I froze, staring at her in shock as she continued, her words pouring out like she'd been holding them back for years.

"When you left my office that day, I came right after you! But you went on that motorcycle ""with Rosé. I did care for you, but I was too late! I tried, Lisa! I tried to get you back! I missed you every single day. I thought about you every night. I tried to forget you, but everything I do... everything I see... it all reminds me of you." Her voice broke into sobs, raw and heavy.

My chest tightened painfully. I shook my head, the tears falling uncontrollably.

"You're getting married soon! How am I supposed to be okay with that, Jennie?!" I cried, my voice breaking. "You should probably just leave me again!"

I turned away, forcing my legs to move, but then her voice cut through the sound of the rain.

"I still like you!" she yelled, her words sharp and desperate.

I froze in place, my heart skipping a beat.

"I still love you, Lili!" Jennie screamed even louder, her voice echoing in the empty streets.

I turned slowly, and there she was, Jennie, standing in the rain, crying so hard her shoulders were shaking.

Her eyes were locked on me, pleading, broken, but still filled with love.

"And I love only you!" she screamed again, her voice filled with nothing but truth.

I couldn't breathe. My whole body trembled as I stared at her, the woman I had never stopped loving.

"Come back to me, please!" she cried, her voice breaking apart as her tears mixed with the rain. I felt my own tears burn harder, falling uncontrollably.

"I can't... you're engaged," I whispered, my voice weak, barely audible, but I knew she heard it.

"Fine then," she said through her sobs, determination flashing in her eyes.

"I'll come to you." She stepped closer, and I panicked, stepping back, but she moved faster.

In seconds, Jennie's arms wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me into her trembling body. Her face buried into my shoulder, her tears soaking through my clothes.

"Please, Lisa... please," she cried, her voice muffled against me. Her grip was desperate, as if letting go meant losing me forever.

And God, I wanted her. I wanted nothing more than to hold her, to kiss her, to tell her that I still loved her too.

My heart screamed for her, but my mind, my mind reminded me of Taehyung.

"I'm sorry... it's just... it's Taehyung," I said weakly, my voice breaking as I slowly pried her arms off me, though it felt like tearing myself apart.

"I don't care!" she yelled, her voice raw, her tears endless.

I turned away quickly before my heart could betray me. My legs moved, carrying me farther from her, even though each step felt like knives cutting into me.

When I glanced back, Jennie was still standing there in the pouring rain, her body trembling, her face broken, watching me walk away.

My heart shattered completely at the sight.

"I'm sorry, Nini..." I whispered to myself, my tears mixing with the rain as I disappeared into the night.
