Link's POV
Mipha and I walked up to the entrance of a dark, mysterious forest. We carefully stepped onto the cracked, unstable pavement.

"Is this it?" Mipha asked; a bit intimidated by the look of the forest.

I looked down at the map on the Sheikah Slate and then back up at the forest. "This is it," I confirmed. "Zelda said that the shrine should be in here."

"Let's be extremely careful. It's pitch black in there."

We walked closer and there was a torch in front of a lantern. I grabbed the torch and held it close to the lantern; allowing it to set aflame. I then handed the torch to Mipha.

"You will be our light," I informed. "Stay close to me." I held her hand and we inched slowly into the darkness. I got my sword out just in case any monsters snuck up on us.

After a while, we both became increasingly anxious. We hadn't found or heard anything for a while until...

"Link," Mipha tapped my shoulder, "listen." We both stayed quiet and heard snoring. That kind of snoring could only come from a hinox. I started walking there and Mipha grabbed my arm. "Link why are you heading towards it?"

"Mipha if I know anything about these trials it's that the most dangerous decision is most likely the right one. I'm sure that it's guarding the shrine or something." She shook her head and reluctantly followed me.

Eventually, we found a lantern with no fire. Mipha lit the fire with the torch and it lit up a little bit of the area. What was in front of us was a sleeping black hinox. I inspected the area more and saw a shrine platform that required an orb. Sure enough, the hinox had the orb on a necklace around its neck.

"Alright," I whispered, "let's try to find the unlit lanterns first." Mipha nodded and we began our search.

We quickly and quietly found all the unlit lanterns that we could find and lit them all up. It still was dark, but at least the area we were in was a little brighter. Now it was time to deal with the hinox. Mipha and I carefully discussed how to go about it. We would have to be very careful not to get ourselves separated.

Mipha ran and climbed onto a fallen down pillar so that she could get some high ground. I got out my Sheikah Slate and summoned a circular rune bomb. I then threw it at the hinox and detonated it. The hinox groaned and stood up.

"Now!" I instructed. Mipha jumped from the pillar and stabbed the hinox in the eye. The hinox fell back, which allowed both of us to get tons of great hits on it. It then stood up again and Mipha returned back to her position on the pillar. We did the same routine again then prepared ourselves to repeat it for the third time. Its eye was vulnerable and I instructed Mipha to hit it, but... it saw through our plan. The hinox immediately whacked Mipha; making her fly into the darkness.

"Mipha!" I yelled. "Mipha can you hear-" The hinox stomped his foot next to me and was about to smash his fist down on me. I quickly dodged and then got out my bow. I shot bomb arrow after bomb arrow. Eventually, the hinox finally died. Now I needed to find Mipha. "Mipha, do you see me?! Can you hear me?! Mipha!"

"Link!" Her voices was to the left of me and sounded distant. "I'm stuck!"

"I'm coming!" I grabbed the torch laying on the ground and lit it back up. I swiftly walked over in the direction I heard her voice in. I eventually found her next to another fallen down pillar. She was trapped under three giant rocks that seemed to have fallen down from it. I ran to her. "Mipha, are you ok?"

"I-I think so. Can you lift these off of me somehow?"

"I don't think so, but I'll try. They look really heavy." I set the torch against the pillar. I tried lifting them off, and while I could lift them off of her for a little bit, they were too heavy for me to really move. I then remembered about stasis. I used it on all of the rocks  to shoot them off of her. "There we go. Are you sure you're ok?" I helped her up.

"My legs hurt a little bit, but I'm fine. Oh, did you kill the hinox?"

"Yes, we just have to put the orb in the platform now." I grabbed the torch and we slowly walked back to the shrine platform; not only to avoid any other monsters, but to make sure that Mipha wasn't in too much pain.

Once we made it back, I grabbed the orb and set it in the platform. The ground started to shake and a shrine rose up. We both walked over to it. I set my Sheikah slate on the pedestal and the doors to the shrine opened up.

"I'll be back shortly," I smiled reassuringly.

"Please be safe," she said gently.

"I will," I softly kissed her. "Make sure to stay next to the shrine."

"I will."

I walked over to the platform inside the shrine and waved at Mipha before descending down.
