She clipped the helmet under her chin and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Steve kicked off, and they flew down the road.
Harli was happy. And truly happy. These people, they hadn't known her before today, but already she felt like family.

June 6"This is where you live?"
"What? Is there something wrong with it?" Steve asked, tossing his keys onto a wooden table and flicking a switch on the wall to turn on the light.
"It's so.... minimal." There was very little in the apartment aside from the basic needs. The living room, kitchen and dining room had been combined, creating an open air feel to it.
Harli slipped off her shoes, placing them on a rack next to Steve's and set down the plain black backpack S.H.I.E.L.D. had given her with her now-clean hero suit, and a change of clothing. Then she ventured farther into the apartment.
She ended up in the living room side of things, and there wasn't much in there. Two bookshelves lined the wall in the back, a couch placed next to them. There was a chair, and a reading light in the corner, the rug on the hardwood floors was soft, and there was a well trodden path from the kitchen to the couch.
An easel with a canvas on it was in a corner next to a window facing out toward the city. The canvas had a sketch of the New York skyline on it, and there was a set of paints on a table next to it waiting to be used.
A record player was sat on a shelf, many records crammed into the space.
She turned around, looking toward the kitchen table. Steve's keys were where he had tossed them, though there was little room for much else. Files, books and papers cluttered the table, and Harli saw the Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on several of them.
The kitchen was simple, an open countertop with stools on either side, probably where he ate most of his meals. A fridge, oven, sink, microwave and dishwasher were set into the wall, but the two latter looked unused, Steve seemed to opt for handwashing things, and Harli didn't know if he knew how to use the microwave.
A short hallway leads past the kitchen, one door on the left and two on the right with a window at the end of the hall. She assumed two of the doors had to be the bathroom and his bedroom, but she couldn't figure out what the third was.
She did notice, however, that the most advanced piece of technology that looked like it had been used was a cord phone on the wall.
All in all, it was so.... normal. Not what you'd think of when you thought of Captain America's apartment.
"I like it." She finally decided, turning back around to look at Steve, who had been watching her from the doorway.
He laughed, "It's not much really, but it's okay."
She smiled slightly, turning to look around again, "It does feel lonely though."
"Well, not much you can do about that when you live alone."
"You're stuck with me now, so we'll fix that." She grinned.
"I'd like that." He said, smiling slightly.
"Anywho- I can take the couch. I'm not picky about where I sleep."
"Actually," Steve moved past her and trotted down the hallway to the single door on the left, and pushed it open, "I have a spare room."
