A man stood in front of the exhibit, his arm close to his body in a sling and a cap over his long hair.

His eyes swept over the exhibit in front of him, taking in all the words and yet none of them resonating in his mind.

He was vividly aware of the woman standing slightly behind him, her mismatched eyes surveying the room as her hands drifted near her belt.

He knew that she was giving him more time than she should allow, one was a fugitive and the other was leaving everyone she knew behind for them, so they had to make themselves scarce as soon as possible.

The words playing from speakers on the wall fell on deaf ears, his vision entirely focused on the pictures flicking across a digital screen.

It was him, but... not him.

He was different.

Perhaps he was somebody different.

"Bucky." The woman said softly, right next to his ear.

He would have flinched was he not used to her quiet footfalls.

Her mismatched eyes flashed gold for a moment, and a camera that was sweeping towards them panned the other way.

"We need to leave." She said, her fingers dancing along her belt where a dagger lay hidden in the fabric.

She wasn't going to use her powers on a grand scale, not if she could help it. Tony had a satellite that was able to pick up on the energy signature, and she already knew that they were tracking her.

Tony would have known the second she dug the tracker out of her neck, and then confirmed it when alerts went off all over Avengers tower that all of S.H.I.E.L.D's information was dumped onto the internet.

She felt bad having to pull the former soldier away, especially when this was such a crucial moment for him, but there would be people looking for them soon, if not already.

"Yeah, let's go." He said quietly, his eyes finally dropping from the exhibit.

He didn't want to be here any longer.

To be reminded of everything he had lost.

Everything he lost and didn't remember.

She gave him a sad smile, patted his arm, and then the two disappeared into the growing crowd.
