Chapter 40

NEELAM'S POV
"Where are we going?" I asked him confused and he looked at me from head to toe "Okay, pack your things. Here, put this on with some jeans and you are ready" he gave me his black hoodie and I smiled. He knew how to get me out of the house, his clothes were one of the things I loved the most. "Okay, but can you please tell me where are we going?" I asked him again picking up the a suitcase "Broadstairs. Ahaan and Naira are going to find a location for their and our marriage" he said while sitting on my bed. I tried to avoid the sadness that was I was feeling, because I wanted Sukhi in Naira's place but I couldn't do anything.   "I will have to ask my parents" I told him but he interrupted me "Already called them and they told me to be careful" Aryan told me looking out of the door, Sukhi's room. I sighed, I didn't open that door since the day she left, I sighed and turned out to face Aryan who was already looking at me "Since you have done everything, I will pack my stuff and get ready while wearing this awesome hoodie" I said trying to focus on today and he nodded "Yeah, I am not going to be patient today, Mrs. Khan" Aryan said showing me his phone that had a timer of 15 minutes "Are you kidding me?" I asked him in disbelief "And your time starts now" he pressed the start button "Why am I even marrying you?" I yelled while quickly running to my wardrobe and picking up all the stuff I needed. "2  minutes left" he shouted from the living room "I fucking hate you" I told him while going down the stairs with my suitcase which I didn't even know was enough. Aryan came and helped me "No! Don't touch, I can do it by myself" I said and he smiled putting his hands up, I tried to walk down the last stairs when I almost risked to broke one leg but luckily Aryan came and held my arm "I see how much you can do it on your own" he said laughing and I stayed quite. He took the suitcase and walked out of the house and I followed him.

'Great. As always luck is on your side, Neelam' I thought after checking for the hundredth time the house before locking it and I heard the horn of the car "I wish I could send him to the zoo" I whispered before entering in the car. He had his glasses on and I must say he wasn't looking that bad. Okay, he was looking great. "Are you perhaps checking me out, Mrs. Khan?" he suddenly asked me and I cleared my voice and put the belt on and he started the engine "Are you going to give me the silent treatment?" I avoided him "Are you on your periods perhaps?" He asked me "Just drive the car, Aryan" I told him and he sighed. I looked at the road quietly when I saw him turning to a different direction rather than towards the highway. I didn't ask and he kept driving until we stopped at Starbuck's coffee and he got out leaving me alone in the car. Rude.

ARYAN'S POV

Here I was buying for my angry lady her favourite bubble tea. I didn't want to spend all the journey in the silent and I wanted to have a quality time with her since convincing her parents was not easy. While I was waiting for the drink, I checked the time on my phone and saw on the lockscreen a photo of me and Neelam. We were smiling while looking at each other, I remember it was taken when Sukhi was with us, I remember how she was excited for us being together again and how Ahaan was smiling looking at Sukhi. I wish I could take back the time and see those two faces smiling again and I wish I could find her. As I was thinking the staff called me and I took the drink and get back to the car. I opened her door and Neelam looked at me with her mad face "What do you want?" she asked me annoyed and I smiled "Nothing, I just wanted to gift you this and I am sorry" I gave her the bubble tea and she made a small smile "You didn't have to" she told me and I shrugged my shoulders "Don't worry". I closed the door and came on the driver side. "Why didn't you buy it for yourself?" she asked me pretending to be mad and I turned towards her and came closer, her eyes widened and as I was getting more close I could feel her getting nervous and just then I took a sip from her bubble tea "Because I wanted to do this" I told her and laughed when she opened her eyes "HEY!! MY BUBBLE TEA" she pushed me and started to protect her drink "Oh, I didn't know that I was less important than your bubble tea" I acted hurt "Oh come on, we are talking about food" she said taking a sip of it with a smirk "Is that so?" I looked at her and nodded. "Let's see" I said smirking before tickling her and she yelled and laughed until a call interrupted us and it was Ahaan. I stopped and answered.
