SUKHI's POV We were getting ready for thecocktail party, I was a little nervous. I didn't even know that this dress was going to match with the party or not. Suddenly, Neelam sat on the bed "Is everything okay?" I asked her and she shook his head "Sukhi, I need to tell you something?" Neelam asked me and I nodded sitting on the bed confused and worried.
She started telling me about the elevator accident and then about the kiss that happened between her and Aryan. I was surprised that for a moment I forgot about everything.
"I think he likes you" I told her and she took a breath "I don't know, he took away my first kiss" Neelam suddenly said and I laughed "You can ask him, after all you have the right to do that" I told her and she nodded "Why is it happening to me, God?" She laid on the bed with her hands on her face. "But wait..wow. How- I mean what did you feel while kissing him? Did you feel butterflies in your stomach like they write in the books? Tell me" I asked her excited "You are not helping Sukhi. I was shocked, what do you think I would have felt when a random guy kissed me?" Neelam yelled and I apologised "Right. Right. Sorry, let's just get ready, maybe the party will help you" I finally said standing up "I hope so" she said and we continued to get ready.

"Let's go" I said adjusting my dress while opening the main door of the hall followed by Neelam. There were many people, I felt small in front of that large crowd. The music was so loud that we had to scream to make us hear from the person next to us.
"Sukhi, the music is so loud. Can we go to the counter?! I am thirsty" Neelam screamed and I nodded. We went to the counter, I looked around while Neelam ordered two soft drinks that we searched on the internet before coming. We sat next to the counter and waited for the bartender to make our drinks. When he gave us our drinks, I took a sip of it and coughed as I felt my throat burning at every sip. On the other side, Neelam asked for another couple of shots.
"These drinks taste weird but surprisingly they makes me feel good" she told me with a smile and I nodded back not being able to understand what was happening "I don't know either, but I feel like I am free" I said while my head was being extremely weird and I all I wanted was to enjoy the moment, not caring about anything.
