Chapter 16

SUKHI's POV
~WEEK LATER~

I looked at my phone still on and then my eyes landed on his name. I didn't know what to feel or react after that kiss. I was scared that he might break my heart but deep inside that night when I looked in his eyes somehow I felt that he was telling the truth. Maybe he really loves me?

I looked over my friend, after what happened with Aryan she started to eat less and stay in her room not talking to anyone. I was tired of seeing her like this, after all she was my friend but still I couldn't do anything for her. That's why I decided to call Ahaan for his help, since he and Neelam were both fan of Bollywood and maybe he could cheer her up by talking about that stuff.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and I run to open the it and as I supposed it was Ahaan.

"Hi" I greeted him with a small smile "Hey" he replied back while rubbing his back neck awkwardly "Come in" I said and went in the corridor before the living where Neelam was sitting there lonely like a dead body.

"Is she still like this?" Ahaan asked me and I nodded as a reply "I hope we can make her at least smile" I told him "Maybe I have an Idea" he told me in a whisper "What kind of idea?" I asked him back "Does she like going to the Amusement park?" Ahaan asked me "Yeah" I replied him after thinking about "Then, it's good let's go there" he said and I nodded with a smile "Let's go".

"Hi, Neelam how are you?" Ahaan greeted her when he entered the living room "Hi, I am good" she said while trying to smile. "I was thinking if you wanted to come with me and Sukhi to the amusement park" Ahaan asked her "I am really not in the mood to go, Ahaan. You both can go" Neelam replied weakly "Neelam, it's been a week now. Let's go, please. Please" I begged her "O-ok fine. I am coming, let me get ready" she said sighing while standing up and going to her room.

Me and Ahaan exchanged a smile but then I remembered about the reception and my smile transformed into a nervous one. "I-I think I should get ready" I told him "Yeah, I am waiting for you here" he said awkwardly smiling and I nodded as an answer.

I still didn't know how to answer him. I didn't even know that I was in love with him or not, I was confused about his confession. Why would he love me? I just hope it's not his game. Still when I am around him my heart starts to beat fast and feel butterflies in my stomach. I've never felt something like this before so I didn't know what to do.

After the awkward ride in the car, finally we arrived at the big amusement park. I decided to pay for the tickets even if was insisting but at the end he payed not letting me to that.

"So guys, what we are going try first?" I asked them excited  "Let's go on the Roller coaster" Ahaan said taking my hand first and then Neelam's and guides us to the long queue. I was not afraid of this type of rides but somehow I was feeling a little nervous when our turn almost coming. I crossed my fingers behind my back closing my eyes when we were almost inside "You can do it" I said to myself but suddenly I felt a hand on mine. I opened my eyes only to see Ahaan looking at me a little worried "Don't worry Angel, I am with you" he assured me while caressing my hand softly and I felt my heart going crazy again. Before I could say anything it was already the time to get on the roller coaster.

"That was fun!" I said while laughing "You are right" Ahaan said while Neelam just smiled. "Girls, if you don't mind let me buy you something to drink?" he said and went to the stall. We sat on the table "Are you okay?" I asked her "Yeah, don't worry" Neelam reassured me with a smile that I know was fake but before I could say something Ahaan came with the drinks.

"This is yours, pretty girl" he said while giving the cup to Neelam which she replied with a smile "And this is yours. Don't worry it's not chocolate one, Angel" he said making me smile "Thanks" I replied taking a sip of my strawberry shake while trying to avoid his look.

I was walking next to the water when suddenly when a wave of water came all over me making me soak "Thank you, god" I sarcastically said and I felt Neelam and Ahaan laughing "W-What?! Why are you guys laughing?" I asked them while trying to dry my clothes with my hand but they continued to laugh irritating but as they were laughing another wave came and splashed them and this time I laughed. "Karma" I told them while giving them a proud smile "Karma, huh? Come here you stupid" Ahaan said while chasing me and I run towards Neelam "Save me from this gorilla" I said "Gorilla? You better come" he said trying to catch "You both need a doctor, I think" she said while laughing "But for now let's get out of here, we are already wet" Neelam continued and we agreed since it was getting cold and I was sure that we would get sick.

The sun was already down and after all the rides we decided to watch the fireworks. Neelam was doing well now, in fact she was smiling a little more and I was glad.

We were were standing in front of the carousel when suddenly her phone rang and she went to answer a little far from us to reply Aunty's phone.

Just then a girl approached us "Hey, can we talk?" She asked Ahaan "Yeah?" he said confused as I was "In private" she continued underlining the "private" part while giving me an hateful look.

Why she is behaving like this? I asked myself hoping that Ahaan would reject her. I don't know why but I just wanted. Why I am even feeling this way? He is not my property then why I am feeling mad? Am I jealous? No, of course not. Maybe? I don't know but please Ahaan, reject her.

I looked at him while biting my lips nervously "Okay" he replied her and I gasped in surprise and I felt a little hurt. They went a little far away leaving me alone. 'First, he tells me that he loves me but then he goes with other girls, Am I joke to him?' I mentally said.

'Why he is taking so much? What are they talking about?' I asked myself impatiently while biting my bottom lip.

Finally, Mr. Ahaan decided to come back. "W-What did she want?" I asked him trying to be calm as possible "Oh, she was just lost. I just told her some directions" Ahaan said while looking the crowd "Couldn't she just talk here?" I asked him a little annoyed making him turn around confused at my behaviour "I-I mea-" as I was put say he interrupted me "Are you perhaps jealous?" he asked me amused "W-why would I? I mean go if you want go and t-talk to her," I told him nervously "Okay" he replied and started heading to her. 'Is he serious?' I gasped.

I quickly pulled his T-shirt sleeve "Hey! Where are you going?" I asked him "Back to her" he replied casually "But d-didn't you like me?" I asked him quickly a little hurt "Yes, I do. But you didn't agree ye-" he was about to say when I interrupted him "I told you that I needed some time to think" I cleared "Okay, take your time but since you haven't decided anything. I am free to go to her" Ahaan said and I looked at him in disbelief.

"Yeah right. Go, first you told me that you like then you go and flirt with girls in front of me. Really nice" I said to myself but little did I know that he heard me  "I wasn't flirting" he replied with a serious "Oh, please" I told him while turning my back to him "I should have know that it was just a game for you" I said angry and hurt but suddenly he back hugged me.

"Sukhi, listen please" Ahaan said "That girl was asking for my number and I didn't give it to her. I told her not to disturb me because I am with the girl I love. And that's you" he explained me and my eyes widened "I love you. I promised myself that I won't flirt with any other girls because I need only you, I swear" he continued and I felt my heart skip a beat.
