SUKHI's POV
I looked at him shocked, we just met and he was inviting me to his house.
"No, really I am fine" I said with my head down trying to not make an eye contact "Come" he insisted "No, really that's too much, don't worry I will find somewhere to go" I replied giving him a small smile reassuring him that I was fine.
"Listen, I can't let you go in the middle of the night and you don't have to worry, I know my limits however I promise you that I won't touch you" he informed "It's no-" he cut me "You are staying at my house" he said with a serious tone afterwards he opened the door for me and gestured me to sit and I obeyed then he went to the driver seat and started to drive.
I felt a small tap on my shoulder followed by a deep voice "Sukhi, wake up we arrived" I slowly opened my eyes only to see a spatial garden filled with numerous plant types such as orchids and roses "Where are we?" I asked and he let out a small chuckled "You fell asleep during the ride. You are at my house, come on let's go inside" Arjun said and got outside the car and I followed him.
He took my luggage and started to get ahead while I went after him, as we walked to the front porch, I looked at the walls and small fence attached to the house itself which were painted with white and light green paint as we arrived at the main vintage blue door.
He put my luggage down on the floor and took out the keys and entered inside the golden doorknob and looked at me "Ladies first" he said and I entered with him behind me.
Upon entering my nose was hit by a mesmerising lavender smell and I looked in front of me only to find myself small, the house was really beautiful and well taken "Do you like it?" I heard him saying while entering and I nodded "I am glad...Wait let me call my mother" he said and run upstairs whilst I waited for him in the living room on the black sofa.
Ahaan loved that smell.
A tear escaped from my eyes and started flowing down, suddenly my head started spinning "Please not now" I said to myself trying to stay still but I ended up fainting.
I slowly opened my eyes facing the white ceiling, I quickly looked around only to find myself that I was in a Hospital room alone I tried to sit up but someone ran in the room and stopped me "No, take some rest, you need it" I looked at the person "Ahaan?" I asked him with teary eyes and I quickly hold his hand "Sukhi, I'm Arjun" he said holding my hand and I quickly looked in confusion again to the person next to me hoping that it was him but it was Arjun.
"How are you?" He asked me worried and I wiped my tears away "I'm fine, sorry for being a burden" I replied in a whisper "Don't worry, I was glad to help you. So Ahaan is the father?" He asked and I looked at him shocked "H-how do you know?" I questioned him shocked and he took my hands "The doctor told us that you are pregnant" he said I nodded slowly understanding and looking down but something came in my head "Us?" I looked back at him "Yes, us" I heard a voice behind him only to find a beautiful woman standing next to the door.
"She is my mother" he finally said and she came closer to us "Finally we met, now I am not going to let you go, in fact you will stay with us forever" she said caressing my head "But-" as I was about to speak she cut me off "Listen dear, now you are in a critical situation and the doctor said that you already risked a miscarriage in the past so let me, as your mother take a good care of you" she said "I don't want to be a burdensome to you" I said looking into her eyes "Oh shut up. I already declared you as my daughter, now come with us" she said with a smile and took my hand in her big one "Look, the doctor said that if you want to have a healthy baby you have to take care of yourself first, I don't know what happened to you these past few days but, Sukhi, you have to change yourself because now you have another life inside your belly who needs you the most and for this little boy or girl you have to forget your past" she continued and wiped my tears away "I will try" I said in a shaky voice looking at her "Don't worry little lady, we will help you as your family" Arjun said.
Suddenly he took out a hand and his mother put her hand on his and waited for my hand "Come on" they said with a warm smile printed on their face full of hope and I slowly put my hand on theirs "Yes! This is my beautiful girl" she exclaimed and I smiled.
Out of nowhere I met two people, my angels, who without even knowing me held my hand as I was part of their small family.
I changed myself for my baby and I started to take care of myself more, thanks to them who helped me to fix a smile on my face which I thought I left to that person who gave me everything but as they say nothing lasts forever just like our story.
