Chapter 24

SUKHI's POV
There I was at that stupid work meeting in a hotel. Since our place of work was going to have some replacements, my boss decided to discuss with all the workers to have some ideas for the new one.

I was sitting next to Stacy who was busy listening to a worker while I was thinking about what happened these days, completely dark and lonely.

"Ok, so that's final now we can have the toss" the boss said and raising the glass of champagne, all the workers started to raise their glass and I was the only one that wasn't doing the same thing, a tap on my shoulder made me come to reality and immediately. I raised the glass, after the cheers they started to drink and I put the full glass on the table since I am pregnant, I am not allowed to drink.

"What happened Sukhi? Why aren't you drinking the champagne?" a worker asked me and I blanked out, I couldn't say anything of my pregnancy "I-I don't like champagne" I replied looking down "Please, excuse me" I excused myself and went out from the table, I couldn't stay there anymore but then I remembered that Neelam was coming from work.

I sent her a message so that she couldn't worry about me:

Su: Neelam, I am in an hotel for a meeting, don't worry about me I'll come back in half an hour.

As I was sending a message Stacy came closer to me "Are you ok?" she asked me and I nodded.

I was about to go in when suddenly a voice called me, I turned to see who it was and I was surprised. It was the same girl who was making out with Ahaan was there.

"Sukhi, may I talk to you?"she asked and I tried to ignore but she immediately hold my wrist "It's important" she said and I sighed "Tell me, I have an important meeting to attend" I said frustrated. I felt like my heart was being stabbed by a knife just by looking at her, I wanted to cry but I couldn't, I had to be strong.

Stacy went inside and I was there with that girl "Look, I am so sorry I didn't knew that you were his girlfriend" she said and I looked at her trying to not cry "And believe me, if I knew it I would have told Ahaan to not cheat on you" she continued "Have you finished?" I asked her "Please Sukhi. Really, I felt bad for you, I need to show you something" she said taking my wrist again "Where are we going?" I asked her "I need to show you something" she said and at first I was confused but I followed her.

We arrived in a cold room where the restaurant staff keep the cold stuff, it was strange that we were there.

"Why are we here?" I asked her while looking at all the room but she was not replying me so I looked her, she was looking at me like she was going kill me or something.

She walked to me and slapped me on my left cheek "You bitch, you know how much I tried to take that Ahaan?!" She yelled and pushed me and hit me and fall down on the floor "W-What I have done to you?" I asked her while trying to stand up in pain, but when I was doing so she started to pull my hair "What have you done?! Well, you took MY Ahaan" she said "Please, stop you are hurting me" I said while trying to take her hand away from me.

She pulled me up, making me stand, I was a mess by all the pain she was giving me by pulling my hair.

"Finally, when you left him, I thought that I could stay with him, but because of you I couldn't. He kept on thinking about you, bitch!" She said "I-I didn't do anything" I said in pain "You didn't? But why he keep on thinking about you, dirt?!" She asked and pushed me again.

I was felling so tired of all the pulling and the pushing, it was not like that I couldn't fight back but I was weak, she was beating me like a beast that I couldn't stand properly.

Suddenly, she made me stand again but this time she pushed me to the steel table, which made my stomach hit the table and I fall down on the floor once more "You deserve this for stealing my Ahaan" she said, I felt some uneasiness in breathing and then I started sweating, a strong pain in my stomach made me cry loud, I didn't know what was happening, but I had to control over it, my whole body was trembling in that pain and the cold.
"Die in peace" she said while leaving "P-please s-ave m-me" I yelled while sobbing of the pain.

The pain in the stomach was getting worse and it was also hard to breathing "Hel- help" I could not finish the sentence as I felt an intense pain in my abdomen, my breathing was going down and the other hand was trying to reach the door.
Suddenly I felt wetness in my leg, I moved my trembling hand down and touched my thighs.

I brought my hand from the covers and take a look at it...BLOOD.

The view started to blurry and I could only see someone coming to me before I blanked out.

HOLA!
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO SUKHI?!
WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
WILL SHE LOSE HER BABY?
