Chapter 19: Training To Become Captain America

(The next day)

(Upstate New York)

Y/N's P.O.V 

I've just made it back home after dropping dad off back at his and mum's place.

I walk into mine and Wanda's house and I see Lucky ran to me and jump up and puts his front legs on my legs.

I start stroking him.

Y/N: Hey there boy. I missed you too.

I then look around to and don't see Wanda.

I head up stairs and find Wanda painting the baby room.

Y/N: Hey babe.

She turns to see me there and seems shocked to see me.

Wanda: Oh no. I thought you weren't gonna be back for another couple of days, I wanted to surprise you with the baby room being finished.

Y/N: Aww baby, that's so sweet.

I walk into the room and look around.

Y/N: Wow, this looks amazing. Even though it's not finished.

Wanda: Thanks. I thought baby blue would be the best colour to go with. I thought it'd be nice to go with red, but it didn't seem right.

Y/N: Yeah, it makes sense. I'm surprised you didn't use your powers to get this done.

Wanda: I thought about it, but I wanted to do this the normal way as we're trying to live both lives.

Y/N: Well then, let's paint our son's room as a normal married couple.

Wanda: Okay. Let's do it.

(Two hours later)

After two hours of painting we finished the baby room.

After finishing Wanda and I clean up and start cuddling up in bed watching TV.

Wanda: So, you seem much better than you did before you left. What changed?

Y/N: Well, dad and I managed to makeup and help each other with our problems. And I also realised that I can't let what Isaiah thinks and says dictate what I do.

Wanda: So what does all this mean?

Y/N: It means tomorrow I'm gonna start training, so I can be the best Captain America I can be. The one that Steve believed I could become.

She looks up at me and smiles.

Wanda: Good, and for what it's worth. I think you're gonna be a great Captain America.

I lean down and kiss her, then after a minute I pull away.

Y/N: Thanks babe.

(The next day)

Today is the day I begin my new training for becoming Captain America.

(A/N: I thought this song would be a good choice for a training montage.)

I start by throwing the shield around and getting used to it bouncing around and coming back to me. It was weird for me at first, but over the next couple of days I got used to it.

I even managed to use my web shooters with the shield to bring back to me in case it gets knocked away from me.

I've been going out on runs, and doing anything and everything to push my enhanced body further than I ever had before.
