I slowly opened my eyes and realized it was morning already, I looked aside the couch but didn't spot Amelia around.
" *yawns * ...where is Amelia? " I moved to my other direction and asked grandma as I heard her quick breath as she was doing morning exercise.
" she left an hour ago , she told me to tell you to meet her at the new ice-cream place at 5pm" grandma replied.
I stood up from my sit and stretched my arms upwards . By walking upstairs and doing what I usually do , I finished my routines exactly at 5pm and packed my materials to go to the cafe .
" Astrid! wait a minute " grandma called from behind " what's wrong " I asked as I turned towards grandma.
" I heard the nano bot situation is getting worse so be careful , plus come home before curfew " grandma instructed " don't worry grandma , I'll be back early today . I'm not going to the secret place anyways " I replied and went outside while waving goodbye to grandma.
I started walking along the road thinking about the world around me . I feel like everything is just a dream and I'm living inside it . UH ! I remember that i have an exam after a week and I have to study or else I'm going to die for realz . I can't take much more of the electrical shock😭 .
I kept walking while talking to myself and finally , I arrived at the ice-cream place. " Astrid! " I can see Amelia waving her hands towards me . I went towards her and took a sit next her .
She kept telling me on how to celebrate her birthday tomorrow. I can't believe how exited she is and I can't wait to celebrate it with her .
After we ate some ice-cream , we exited the cafe and started walking towards home. " it was the most thrilling episode ever !! " Amelia started telling me about a new movie she watched.
We talked while walking , but moments later , we herd an explosion at a very fancy jewellery store right in front of my house .we were walking not very close to it so it didn't affect us that much , it just pushed us a bit .
But as for the jewellery store, it was completely destroyed. People panicked and started evacuating the area along with some others injured . " hey there " someone uttered in a low voice from behind.
We both turned around and froze in our places as we saw Jack standing right in front of us holding a very , very huge gun.

The gun is unlike anything I've seen so far. It had green substance inside it instead of a bullet , plus in the bottom , it had a small tip for a spray .
" nice to meet you again Astrid " Jack smirked " you know this guy !? " Amelia whispered to me while squeezing my arms in fear . " wha...t , I've never seen him in my entire life " I replied.
" really ? I thought we met many times before " Jack interrupted our whispers " ignore him , his just crazy " I whispered to Amelia again .
I can feel Amelia shaking in fear , she compressed my arm even more as Jack started waving his gun carelessly .I can't let Amelia get hurt or know about our secret like this , my only option is to make her leave .
" Amelia I'll distract them , you go and call the police " I said while pushing Amelia to leave " b..but " Amelia trembled " just go " I uttered in anger .
" hey Jack , why are you here again " I yelled at Jack . " oh , so you wanna know " Jack said while coming even closer than he already is .
I can hear Amelia walking slowly and further , I hope she manages to leave this place safely .
" well I don't wanna spend much time collecting elements, so I decided to get them from the jewellery store , but unfortunately they don't have it " Jack stated " elements ? Why do you need to collect elements ? " I asked Jack in suspicion .
" if I have those 5 important elements your collecting before you do , then I'll be able to control everyone in a single second " Jack laughed as he finished his sentence.
This is bad , why is he like a border from our success. I have to tell Halogen and the others fast .
" stop right there ! " a familiar voice visited by ears " I'm not moving " Jack replied while looking at the people behind me .
I turned around and saw Anakin sprinting towards us along with Eythor and Halogen.
" uh ! 😡 " Jack mumbled in anger . Before Halogen and the rest reached us, Jack turned his gun all the way around and pointed it towards me .
" sorry Astrid , but I have to do this " Jack said while pressing the button on the gun and it released a green gaseous substance from inside it.
The gas filled the area and I wasn't able to see anything except for shadows of people . My vision got blurry and my eyes got watery .
I can hear footsteps moving swiftly towards me, but I didn't know who it was . " and one last thing " it was Jack grabbing my arm towards him .
" I'll be back next time " he said slowly and let go of my arm . I rubbed my eyes and whipped my tears which was caused by the excess gas , but Jack was no where to be found as I looked up again.
The smoke disappeared quickly and everything was back to normal except for the demolished store .
" Astrid ! are you okay " Anakin came towards me quickly and started checking my face by moving it up and down " stop that !! you're making me feel dizzy " I slapped Anakin's hands .
" we heard about an explosion around your house and came as quick as possible " Halogen stated " the jewellery store exploded and Jack was standing behind us during the explosion , besides he entered and couldn't find what he wanted so he must've done all this " I replied
" well I'm glad no one got heavely injured " Halogen said in relief .
The fire fighters arrived after a while and did their work . No one was seriously injured , just minor injuries.
Halogen and the rest went back to the secret place while I entered home . Amelia called me and told me she entered her home safe which gave me a great relief.

" Why did you tell her about our plan that we're going to collect the elements before them ? " Inizo interrogated Jack as she got confused by the situation
" I told her cause I knew she would tell her friends about it " Jack responded "that's not a convincing reason " Inizo muttered.
" if Astrid told her friends about it , they'll tend to restore the elements faster than us , and after they do we'll steal it from them and achieve our goal without getting tired .HA !! HA !! " Jack laughed.
" fine 😒 " Inizo said while turning around in anger . " are you jealous cause I never told you a strong secret " Jack snuck behind Inizo like a creep and whispered in a low voice to her ears .
" What !! No, not at all !!! I'm not jealous !! " Inizo panicked and replied nervously. " * HA ! HA !! , in that case , we'll just have to wait for the right time to collect the elements and an important person. ha ! Ha ! Ha ! * crazy laughs * ....
