Next Morning

I woke up and AJ was still sleep "You are such a good baby." I said and smiled. I got up and brushed my teeth. I went downstairs and made a bottle for AJ cause he will be waking up soon. Then walked in Chris and Kaila "We are aunties." Kaila said. "Let see pictures." I said shaking AJ bottle. Chris showed me pictures of his baby girl "So what's her name?" I asked. "Royalty." he said. "I love it. She is so beautiful." I said. "Where's AJ?" Kaila asked. "Upstairs sleep. I was about to wake him up." I said. "Let me." she said and ran upstairs. Me and Chris laughed then sat at the table.

"So why did August come stay at my house last night?" Chris asked looking at me. I rolled my eyes "He keeps asking me if I'm sure about keeping AJ. It's so annoying because everyone in the world right now are looking at me like I'm crazy and he keep asking me is not helping. If I was having any doubt about keeping him I would of made the decision to give him up. But I wasn't and I'm still not. He is my baby now and I'm going to take care of him and my baby girl. But I did snap at him and when I tried to say sorry he snapped at me. So now we just got attitude with each other." I said.

"I understand where both of y'all are coming from but there is a baby in the house already and then you have one on the way. Both of y'all have to communicate better because if not the babies are going to grow up thinking what they see and hear is okay. We had 2 great examples of what love is and what parents is and all that. We have to be that example for our kids. If August doesn't want to get on board with that, that's him. But don't let him change who you are. Be the great loving, protective person and mother we all know you are. And as far as everybody else they don't matter. They're opinions don't matter. It's all about the kids." Chris said.

I smiled "You're right." I said. Kaila came downstairs with AJ "Say Hi." she said bringing him over to me and Chris. "Wassup Little man." Chris said playing with his little hand. I smiled "Ever since he got here, I just been smiling so much." I said. "Babies have that affect." Chris said. "So what y'all doing here?" I asked. "We thought it would better for us to tell you." Chris said. "Tell me what." I said. "Someone shot Kelly going into her apartment last night. She's okay but she wanted us to tell you. But also she knows who did it." Chris said. "Who." I said getting mad.

"Asia." Kaila said. "So what are we going to do?" I said. "Love your not doing anything. Your pregnant and you have AJ. But because your house has a gate around it we all going to be staying here Kelly, Kayla, Royalty, Dad and August mom. We have to make sure y'all safe until this is taken care of." Chris said. August walked in "I got security set up around the house and I had cars go get everybody." he said. "So we can't go anywhere?" I said. "Yes you are allow to leave but with security. And because your pregnant and have AJ you will have the most security." Chris said.

"Okay. So everybody on they way?" I asked. "Yeah can you and K cook something up?" Chris asked. I rolled my eyes "I guess." I said. "I'm going to go pick up Kayla and Royalty myself. Ill be back." Chris said leaving. "Anything I can do." Kaila asked. "Feed him please." I said giving her his bottle. She went into the living room leaving me and August in the kitchen. "Listen, I'm sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have snapped at you and took my anger out on you. Its just I feel like the whole world is judging me for keeping Aj. And with you keep asking me if I'm sure like if I was having doubts I wouldn't have kept him. August we are going to raise him as our son because thats who he is our son now. I promise I'm good and we got this. I just need you to trust me when I say so." I said.

He sat next to me "I'm sorry too. But we need to do better than last night. We are better than that." he said. I smiled and gave him a kiss "I love you." I said. "Let me get one more." he said and i kissed him again. "One more." I gave him another one. "Last one." he said. I laughed "August get out so I can start cooking. Go play the game or with AJ. Or both since Kaila has to help me." I said. "Play the game?! You okay." he said feeling my head. "You better get out my face before I change my mind and have you in here." I said and he got up quick.

"K give me him and you go help your sister." he said. I laughed and got up "So what we cooking?" Kaila asked coming in the kitchen. "Grilled Chicken, Baked Mac n Cheese, Collard Greens with cornbread." I said pulling it all out. "Okay lets go." she said and we got started. Our mom always had us help her in the kitchen so we know how to cook. I started hearing people voices coming in the house. "Can I help?" Mama Sheila said. "Yes you can." I said and hugged her. "August was knocked out on the couch with AJ. They looked so cute." Mama Sheila said.

"I don't know what it is but he doesn't like spending too much time with AJ. He does it to give me a break but its like he not trying to give AJ all his love because he scared there won't be any left for baby girl." I said. "Maybe thats what it is. Just ask him." Kaila said. "No need, me and him talked. He is scared and I told him there's always enough love to go around when it comes to family, your kids and friends. Give that boy all the love you can and I promise when your baby girl gets here you will have more than enough to give to her." Mama sheila said. I smiled "She reminds me so much of mama." Kaila said. "I said the same thing." I said. "I will never replace your mother but I am here for the both of yall. We family." she said. We all smiled and finished cooking.
