Love or hatred? (Diluc x y/n) OLD VER

7:Verses the Abyss

(Y/N) POV
I was outside the tavern at 9.35pm, I waited for Lumine and Paimon outside. I saw Lumine and Paimon walking towards me. "Hey, you have extracted elemental thingy from the mist flowers right?" I said, just to check.

Lumine nodded, we went inside. Huffman was not here yet. Huffman came in a few minutes after we arrived. "Oh hey Honorary Knight! You're here too? Cool," Said Huffman, ignoring my existence again. "He really doesn't think much of me, he could have at least addressed me as a traveler!" I thought bitterly.

"What's a Knight doing here? Slacking from your work? The knights are as inefficient as ever I see," Said Diluc, mocking the Knights of Favonius as usual.

Huffman frowned, he went on to order Dandelion wine.

"Paimon wants apple juice please!" Said Paimon. Diluc nodded. "Your orders will be ready in a bit," Said Diluc.

Paimon and Lumine went to execute their part in the plan while I talk to Huffman. "Soo, Mr Huffman was it? How's it like working in the Knights if Favonius?" I asked.

Huffman looked proud of himself. "It's the best decision I've made in my life!" Said Huffman, he then went on to talk about the things he was proud of. Lumine and Paimon came back in without Huffman noticing.

Suddenly, another knight came in all panicked and tired. "Mr Huffman! slimes are attacking!" He shouted, out of breath. Huffman raised an eyebrow. "Slimes? Surely you can handle them?" The other Knight's eyes widened with fear as he spoke, "Its not normal! There are a lot of slimes! And t-they are huge too! Those are the biggest and most amount of slimes I've seen, ever!" Shrieked the knight.

"But..I'm busy!" Said Huffman.

"Busy with what? Your wine? The Knights this irresponsible?" Said Diluc, obviously mocking Huffman.

"I, ugh. Honorary knight, a silent word please!" Said Huffman. Huffman said something to Lumine and Paimon and left in a hurry.

"Good, now lets go!" Said Diluc, the time was 9.55pm when they left the tavern.

No Knights were seen at the front gate, they were dealing with the slimes.

Third person POV
Diluc was the first to reach the gate, some hilichurls and two cryo abyss mages were there. Diluc made quick work of all of them, (y/n) was amazed by the way he fought. A second wave of monsters came so Lumine and (y/n) stepped in to help Diluc.

(Y/N) charged at a hilichurl which was armed with a crossbow, she activated her vision as she slashed her sword across the hilichurl's face. The hilichurl turned into dust(died). Lumine was facing off against a hilichurl armed with a woooden cub made from a branch of a tree.

(Y/N) was impressed by how Lumine fought. One last cryo abyss mage came, it did it's dance and shot icicles at (y/n) and Lumine. (Y/N) signaled for Lumine to boost her up high enough to strike from above to break its shield and hopefully damage the abyss mage.

(Y/N) used Lumine as a boost and activated her elemental burst, the elemental burst broke the shield as (y/n) forced her sword to cut down into the Abyss mage, her sword had some fire still burning on it.

The last abyss mage was defeated, they returned to the tavern as fast as they could.
