(Y/n) POV
I looked at Childe, he wasn't showing any emotions to what Diluc Said. Diluc gave Lumine and Childe a location to go check out and we were left alone."(Y/n)...do you happen to know what happened last night? Or saw anything suspicious..?" Said Diluc. I put on my straight face. "No, I decided it was best for me to stay away for that Maria lady since she's been spreading rumors about me well...to be honest those rumors are quite accurate...some parts of it I mean, not all!" I Said, putting on a sheepish smile at the past about rumors.
Diluc gave me a hug. "I'm sorry that she's been spreading rumors but I think the Knights plan to do something to the culprit or whatever. That Maria lady seems somehow important, I see no value in her anyway. Let's get going. We'll be investigating the crime scene," Said Diluc.
I felt a slight shiver down my spine and followed after Diluc quickly.
We reached the mansion, I shivered. This place seems way more dreadful somehow with the wrecked areas, blood stains and it has a faint smell of dead stuff. I followed behind Diluc as he walked up to the scene of crime.
There was markings there to show where Maria was found. I clenched my fists, Diluc didn't notice it. I should've hit twice.
Diluc poked around the area while I just did some pointless looking. We found nothing to my delight and we returned to the cathedral. Lumine and Childe was back with nothing. I signaled to Childe that we found nothing either and he gave me a slight smile.
"This feels pointless..." I Said, waving my hands at the air. "There's no lead or whatever," I added, making a fake buy convincing disappointed face. Diluc sighed too. "I guess we have no choice but to talk to her..." muttered Diluc, leading the way as usual.
Maria was wrapped in bandages, she was in horrible condition. The electro seemed to have left scars on some parts of her body. I wanted to finish the job right then and there, but if I did, things would go down horribly.
"Diluc...there is something I must tell you!" Said Maria with a dramatic look. Diluc raised and eyebrow. "Oh? What might that be?"
Maria pointed to Childe and I.
"Those two are murders! They tried to kill me!" She Said in an extra dramatic voice. Childe and I looked at each other. We both had a fake confused mixed with shock faces when in reality, we would have a sinister smile on our faces.
"What makes you think that we were the ones? We weren't even near you!" Said Childe, matching Maria's dramatic tone. Lumine and Diluc was very confused, they looked at each other. Maria clenched her fists as hard as she could. "You two are from the Fatui! Of course it had to be you two!" She yelled.
I stepped forward and glared at Maria. "Listen here you little shit. Your fucking face is already annoying me. Who could put up with your bitch attitude? You are just jealous of Diluc and I and you're just accusing me to be horrible!" I Said in the fierce 'Harbinger voice' I normally use when threatening Fatui members who messed up the job.
Childe was smiling at me proudly from behind Lumine. Maria gasped, she started fake crying.
"Oh cut the act, you look like a disgusting asshole who just got told that they were toxic!" I snapped. I was so close to pulling out my sword. Maria started sobbing harder. Two Knights barged into the room and dragged me out of the Cathedral. I glared at those knights with eyes so cold that they shivered as they lead me out roughly.
I was too angry to face anyone so I decided to get away from Mondstadt for a while. I decided to head to a place where I keep to myself. I went to an empty beach and decided to take my rage out on something there. I found no signs of life, it was frustrating.
I pulled out my sword and gathered enough pyro elemental particles to do my elemental burst.
"Scorching swords, fall with an eternity of suffering..." I Said as I summoned a rain of swords made of fire followed by a 360 pyro infused sword slash. The fire swords would stay on the sand for a minute. After a minute, the fire swords disappeared. I put away my swords, I looked behind me to see Zhongli who had somehow found me.
"Interesting burst you got there. I sense that you are upset with something, care to talk it out?" Said Zhongli. I frowned at him. "Talks...those sound so boring..." I Said. Zhongli's expression was unreadable. "Or would you rather fight me? Like what your brother would do?" He said.
I was surprised by his offer. "I guess a fight can't hurt, let's do it!" I Said, suddenly getting enthusiastic. Zhongli gave me a slight smile as he summoned his spear.
I summoned my sword again and got into battle stance. I split my sword into two pyro blades and charged at Zhongli, I dodged as he set a stone pillar. As my attack landed on him, his shield blocked it.
I leaped backwards and switched to using a bow. I pyro charged three arrows and set them at him, the last arrow broke the shield. I switched weapons and as I was about to land a blow on him, his spear clashed with my sword.
Crystallization happened and a pyro shield was formed. I knocked Zhongli away from it and activated my elemental skill, enteral flame. The opponent will be unable to dodge, avoid or block any of my next pyro attacks. They are also burning at the same time while this lasts. The duration lasts for max 1.5 min.
I sent several blasts of fire, Zhongli wasn't at his full strength though.
I looked up to see why the sky became dark.
"I will have order!" Shouted Zhongli.
I dodged at the last minute, the attack didn't hit. "My turn!" I said cheerfully.
"Scorching swords, fall with an eternity of suffering!" I yelled, the 360 slash knocked Zhongli off his feet. The swords were planted in the battle field. I felt much better after the fight.
I helped Zhongli get up.
