(Y/n) POV
I was waiting for Childe and Lumine's arrival. I saw them walking towards me, Childe smiled at me. "Oh, hi (y/n)! How have you been?" Said Lumine. I smiled. "Yeah, I've been well," I Said. "Sorry Ajax but is it ok if I go see some of my friends? Without you? They don't really like the Fatui..." Said Lumine. Childe gave Lumine a kiss on the forehead. "Of course its ok," Said Childe.

We waved goodbye to Lumine as she left. Childe looked and me and I looked at him. "Is it possible to show this 'Maria'?" Said Childe. I nodded. I had a rough idea where she might be.

I lead Childe to the crowded streets of Mondstadt. Maira was easy to spot, with the two Knights, it was all too easy to find her strolling around. "That one," I Said. Childe examined Maria from afar.

We left Mondstadt's main streets and went someone quieter, specifically the Hotel occupied by the Fatui.

"She doesn't even have a vision, so basic. An easy target though. We can just kill her quietly and nobody will notice..." Said Childe in a sinister tone. I shook my head. "We don't know if the knights are on high alert for possible assassins. We have no idea how many guards she has-"

Childe clapped his hands, an agent brought out a pink-ish folder. "We do actually. Two professional elite guard by her bedside, four slightly less elite outside her room, a buncha normal average guards around her mansion. We've even mapped out everything in her mansion!" Said Childe, reading off the pages of the documents inside.

My eyes widened.Childe have me a hug. "Sis, we've got everything except for a cover up story and a potential break up on the line. That woman deserves to pay the price don't you think? Maybe I'll tag along too! Those elite guards sounds like fun to fight!" Said Childe, battle hyped already.

I gave him a nervous smile. "So, tonight? At midnight?" I Said. Childe smiled and nodded. He went off to find Lumine. I was left alone so I decided to do some thinking. I was still studying the layout of Maria's mansion. It seemed that it has many hiding spots but enough guards to check each of them. This was going to be a rough one.

I don't do assassinations that aren't on my mission list but this one...I have to get rid of her. She could be a future threat to the Tsaritsa's plans. She has to be silenced, for my sake and for the Fatui's sake. I just hope Diluc won't be at the wrong place at the wrong time like on that mission...(check chapter 24:A falling-out to recap what happened)

I returned to the dawn winery at about sunset. I spent the day with Lumine and Childe. Diluc seemed quite free that day. "Hey Diluc," I Said. Diluc gave me a quick kiss on the forehead. "Hey (y/n)? I have to go somewhere tonight and I'll probably be home a bit late," Said Diluc. I nodded and watched as he left the house. I sighed and went to his room, or rather, our shared room.

I went in to see Childe, he had sneaked in as planned. "So, do we have any awesome disguises?" Said Childe. I handed him a midnight black mask, it was the shape of his normal mask but just a different colour. I also handed him long black gloves. "The rest of your outfit can be the same. We want to end this quickly, so delusions will have to be used unfortunately...and don't you DARE use your foul legacy, that will attract a lot of attention for sure," I Said.

I changed and we were ready to go. My outfit was dark grey with lines of dull silver. I put on the mask. Childe and I snuck up to Maria's house. I frowned as I looked into the window. "He's in the wrong place at the wrong time...he's not gonna let anyone die. Crap. What do we do Childe?" I whispered.

Childe signaled that we wait.

We watched them talk. Diluc seemed annoyed. After a while, Diluc was starting to speak with an angered face.

Good thing I told Elzer that I will be adventuring that night. So if Diluc returns home...I won't have to worry.

Diluc frowned at Maria before leaving. I watched as he left, walking away. Once he was far away enough, I signaled to Childe that it was time.

We carefully broke in through the unused room. Childe activates his delusion, his clothes changed colours. I activated my delusion. My clothes now had gold-yellow linings and lines of blood red. I had a cloak with me which was gray but now it was a dark blood red with gold patterns.

Maria went to her room, Childe went out of the window and snuck carefully over to her bathroom window and went inside with minimum noise. I knocked out the many guards. All of them flopped to the ground easily. I used the anemo power of the delusion to boost myself up to the second floor and took out the four guards easily with the delusion's aid.

My vision wasn't visible as I hid it under the cloak I was wearing. I put on the hood of my cloak, hiding my ginger hair. I broke into the room the moment I heard the sounds of swords clashing.

Maria was being defended by one of the guard while the other fought Childe. I went straight for Maira.

I didn't use my real weapon yet, I created pyro-electro swords and used them. The force of overload overwhelmed the guard. He collapsed to the ground. I glanced behind me to see that Childe had finished off the other guard, the guard was dead. I slit the guard that I was fighting's throat and then Maria was horrified.

She looked at us with horror.

I pointed the elemental sword I conjured at her throat. I smiled under the mask.

"Now, you shall pay the price," I whispered into her ears before I stabbed her through the heart with the blade. Blood sprayed out of the wound, Maria gasped. She stared at us.

"Who..are you?" She Said, struggling to talk.

I was quiet. I electro charged her before we left. Maria had stopped moving so I assumed that she was dead. Childe just broke through the wall of her mansion. I sighed and followed him through the hole.

We washed off, burnt the clothes and I ventured around the forest and came back all dusty and smelling like plants and wild flowers. I found a field of dandelions and decided to enjoy the beautiful scene.

I heard footsteps and saw Diluc. "Oh, hi Diluc!"

Diluc went over and gave me a hug. "There you are my princess. You really do like adventuring eh?" Said Diluc, giving me a brief kiss. I blushed.
