27:Battle of the gingers

Third person POV
(Y/n) had left the dawn winery to have some peace for herself. She was recovered already, her injuries no longer hurt. (Y/n) was in an empty field, it was a quiet night. The wind was gentle, the moon was full and the only source of light other than the few lamp grass which grew around the field.

(Y/n) closed her eyes and summoned her sword, she activated her vision. She moved gracefully as she drew lines of fire in the air. She had memorized how to draw her constellation during her free time when she was injured. Now she was just doing the same but just not with a pencil but a sword and her fire. The fire left trails of smoke after it extinguished. (Y/n) switched to her bow. She shot an arrow behind her. It hit a tree.

"Come out, I know you're there," Said (y/n). The person behind the tree was Childe. "Aww, you were so graceful. When did you learn that?" Said Childe, hugging (y/n) as usual. "None of your business. Say, want to fight? Here and now," Said (y/n). Childe was amused by this request. "Of course! I would never turn away from a battle!"

They got into their positions. (Y/n) ran towards Childe, she dodged as Childe shot hydro charged arrows at her. (Y/n) leaped over Childe with the boost of fire. She placed a hand on Childe's shoulder as she kicked him from behind with both legs. Childe fell to the ground but quickly got up as (y/n) leaped away. (Y/n) fired a pyro charged arrow at the ground in front of Childe, the grass caught fire and speared around Childe.

Childe smirked, he leaped over the fire and switched to his water blades which was blocked by (y/n) infusing her sword with pyro. Evaporate reaction happened which caused steam to form. (Y/n) took a step back. When the steam cleared, Childe was nowhere to be found. There was sound of thumping behind (y/n), she turned to face Childe's sneak attack.

"Oh ho ho, attentive," Said Childe.

The siblings fought each other until Childe decided to activate his delusion. "Let's spice things up, it's getting boring," Said Childe. (Y/n) steadied herself. Childe moved way faster, his attacks missed (y/n) but only narrowly missed.

(Y/n) closed her eyes.

He's moving like lighting...I only can see him the moment he strikes. So...

(Y/n) opened her eyes, she grabbed Childe's arm and slammed him to the ground as he tried to slash at (y/n). Childe winced. "Smart move," Said Childe, getting up. "Well, that's as far as we go for this fight, goodbye now," Said (y/n).

As (y/n) was leaving, she saw purple light. She turned around to see Childe had used his Foul Legacy transformation. "No, we're not done. If you want to fight me, fight me till the end! I'm not defeated yet," Said Childe, getting into a battle stance. (Y/n) frowned, there's no stopping her battle-obsessed brother. (Y/n) decided not to activate her delusion until she is beginning to be overwhelmed by Childe's strength. Getting injured is no fun thing.

(Y/n) blocked a rough blow from Childe with the help of her sword which was on fire, Childe's attack activated overload and evaporate which threw (y/n) backwards while nothing happened to Childe.

Childe moved so fast that it was like he teleported, he narrowly missed a slash at (y/n) as she moved out of the way. Childe went in close and let his spear clash with (y/n)'s sword. (Y/n) struggled to block, Childe was putting all his weight on the spear. He increased in size and weight so it's no surprise.

(Y/n) leaped back, letting Childe graze her wrist and hit the grass. (Y/n) activated her delusion, but somehow, it wasn't electro that activated but anemo. The delusion turned into the color of an anemo vision and the wind became stronger around (y/n).

Hidden elements? How did I not know of this...? Is this implemented or is this some sort of special feature added to my delusion? This is so strange, I guess I'll deal with it. Explanations can wait for now.

(Y/N) POV
I had to learn how to control anemo, quickly. I tried visualizing a storm, which worked. I could send gales of wind blades at Childe. Childe got hit several times. He was taken aback by the elemental change. I quickly leaped on Childe's shoulders and knocked off his mask. His face had a surprised expression. "Hey, what was that for?" Said Childe, trying to grab my leg but I leaped off of his shoulder.

It was strange to see him with purple eyes and such a weird hairstyle. Childe still fought me though, even without a mask he was unfazed. I decided to try knocking him out. I quickly created a burst of wind to help me reached his shoulders. I hit the place where a certain nerve would be at on his neck. Childe had a shocked expression before he flopped over and returned to normal, he was still knocked out.

I sighed, I didn't want to carry him to Mondstadt.

Diluc POV
I watched from behind a boulder. (Y/n) fought so fiercely and yet I could notice a hit of desperation in her movements when she fought against her brother, but why was her delusion creating wind? Wasn't it an electro one? This is weird. Childe is knocked out, maybe I should approach her. Yeah, I will approach her now.

(Y/n) POV
I sat down on the grass, catching my breath. Childe was knocked out cold on the grass, I leaned him against a tree. I sat on a rock nearby to wait for him to wake up. I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder. I looked behind me to see Diluc. I locked eyes with him. This was awkward.

"Were you trying to hurt yourself again?" Said Diluc. I scratched the back of my head. "Well...er...I didn't expect things to go that far, assuming you saw it all," I said. Diluc folded his arms and looked at me.

I gave him an awkward smile. Suddenly, Childe woke up. "Aha! LOVEBIRDS!" He said, snapping his fingers as if he would make us kiss.

I slapped Childe as hard as I could, he gave me sad puppy eyes. "Idiot. By the way, are you going to go home to see Teucer and the others anytime soon?" I Said, trying to be nice to Childe. "Maybe, but kiss first!" Said Childe, smirking. I frowned at him and stood up. "Go find yourself a girl," I Said, rolling my eyes and leaving with Diluc.

We returned to the dawn winery. Diluc was holding my hand, he smiled at me as we were further from Childe.

Diluc lead me to his room. "I was thinking about visiting Liyue again. You would be free right?" Said Diluc. I smiled and nodded. Diluc gave me a kiss on the forehead. We went to sleep, I fell asleep first.

Diluc POV
I fiddled with (y/n)'s long ginger hair. She was already fast asleep. I smiled as I drifted off to sleep.
