(A/N): (y/n) can use bows too but only for long distance missions, the sword she uses is Skyward blade and her bow is Skyward harp. If (y/n) was a playable character, she would probably shoot 3 arrows at a time like Venti. Also, this chapter contains graphic description of blood and murder.

Childe POV
Should I tell (y/n) of my plan B? She might find it crazy...actually, it is crazy. Hm, I wonder how the others are doing...I really miss them. Would it have been better if (y/n) didn't follow me in my footsteps?

I walked out of the restaurant to find (y/n) waving goodbye to Diluc, her boyfriend I assume. I wonder why he has to leave all of the sudden. "Hey, since everyone else left, what will you do now?" I Said. (Y/N) turned to face me and shrugged. A Fatui messenger was running towards us from afar. "(Y/N)! You have a mission. Deadline is by the end of this week and Tartaglia, you also have a list of missions," the messenger passed them slips of paper and hurried off.

(Y/N) POV
"Oh, it's an assassination. Eh? The description says that he is an adventurer who has been meddling with some Fatui camps and he is a big threat? A simple adventurer? This should be easy," I said, I've done assassinations before. Most of those missions were meant to silence eyewitness or deal with troublesome and nosy people.

Childe was reading his paper, it seems that he has a whole list. "What? Yours is just ONE? Mind helping me after you're done, sis?" Said Chide. I sighed and agreed, Childe's missions were usually tax or debt collections or something.

We split off. The best method to find this troublesome adventurer would be to watch a camp from afar. Found a place with a birds eye view of a big Fatui camp and got ready my bow. I pyro-charged my arrow which had traces of poison on it, she wasn't too far from the camp so if the arrows fail to kill the target, she can just go down and engage in combat.

The subordinates at the camp were all busy chattering, I was barely visible from the people below. From afar my pyro-charged arrow would be obvious. I noticed the faintest of movements from nearby, but not from the camp. The adventurer was going to attack me.

Hah, foolish of him to go for me. He's dead meat now.

I shot my arrows, the two pyro charged arrows landed in his shoulders and the third hit his stomach. He flinched and suddenly coughed out blood violently, the fire burnt him and the poison's effects were setting in. I switched weapons to my sword, the adventurer pulled out his claymore. He tried to slash me but failed as I dodged and slashed at him instead. He moved out of the way a bit too slowly and my sword only cut a shallow wound on his neck.

His claymore looked as if it was carrying him to wherever it was going to land, he should be unable to dodge if he is in a middle of a swing. I  went behind him the moment he raised his claymore. I stabbed him from behind, my sword piercing his chest. His claymore slipped out of his hands and fell down the edge. He was shaking, he slowly turned his head to look at me.

"N...no....this can't b...be! Who...are you?" He stammered, coughing up more blood. I smiled, and whispered into his ear. "I'm the 12th Fatui Harbinger, it was foolish of you to come at me. It was my mission to assassinate you and you came right to me, how nice of you!" I said, mocking him for his foolishness.

I noticed that he didn't have a vision as I took my sword out of this body. Blood squirted on my face and clothes, my gloves were stained with blood, my sword now blood red instead of its usual blue and gold color. I took my evidence of his death and kicked the body off the edge, leaving a trail of blood. I left, making sure I didn't leave anything that would expose what happened here apart from the fact that that adventurer is dead.

I went down to the Fatui's camp below. The subordinates were scared when they saw me. "What? I just finished off an assassination. I'm just here to stay for a bit," I Said, dismissing the staring subordinates. I picked a quite spot in their camp to clean my blade, I washed off the blood on the sword and changed into another set of clothes. I washed off the blood off my other set of clothes, it was a a pain to wash off blood.

Once I was done, I left the camp and headed back to Liyue. I found the messenger and showed him the evidence that the assassination was successful and headed off to find Childe. I went to Northland bank to find Childe waiting for me. "Hey, you back already? Didn't know it was completed so soon! It's barely been a day since you got the mission, you are so efficient. No wonder you always get the more dark missions!" Said Childe.

Third person POV
Childe's next destination was to collect the debt that a merchant owe to the Fatui. They walked to the location and Childe knocked on the door. "Hello? Mr Yong?" Said Childe, still knocking on the door. A man who looked like he was in his 40s opened the door, he was scared to see Childe and (y/n).

"What do you youngsters want?" He said.

"Don't act dumb, you know why we are here. Pay up," Said Childe. Mr Yong shook his head. "No, I don't want to pay the Fatui back, your organization is a group of scums! Leave now!" Said Mr Yong. Childe was now pissed. (Y/n) summoned her sword into her hand and pointed it at Mr Yong. "Sir, the mora please," Said (y/n).

That seemed to have done the trick. Mr Yong nodded quickly and went to take the mora. He gave the bag of mora to Childe and they left.

(Y/n) helped Childe with the remaining three clients. It was tiring. Childe finally decided to invite me to his place at Liyue. I went to check out of the hotel and moved my stuff.

"Well, I hope Zhongli didn't spend all your funds again. Let's take a nap shall we?" Said (y/n)
