Third person POV
(Y/n) looked at her list of missions. She sighed, assassinations of a merchant who refused to pay his debt and threatens to expose the Fatui and a woman who is impersonating a Fatui agent and she is currently in Mondstadt. This was going to be slightly harder because of her injury.

(Y/n) decided to do the man first, she followed the directions and found herself standing in front of a small building. There was voices inside and there was light. The house was made if wood. (Y/n) decided to bring an agent to bring the debt money to Snezhnaya after she was done.

(Y/n) burst into the house, she activated her vision and infused fire with her sword before taking out the other men who were not the merchant. "Sir, if you would. Pay your debt now," Said (y/n), pointing the sword at the merchant. "H-here! P-please d-don't kill me! I-I have a f-family!" Said the merchant, he gave (y/n) a bag of mora with shaky hands.

(Y/n) set fire to the building and stabbed the man in the chest. She laced her sword with poison and stabbed him again. The man screamed in pain. (Y/n) stabbed the man in the head, ending him in a middle of a scream. (Y/n) walked out of the burning house and handed the agent the money then she headed for the location of the next target.

(Y/n) POV
I was waiting for the target in the forest. She would be there soon. A few minutes later, she came. I leapt down from the tree I was hiding in and stabbed her in the stomach. The woman took out a simple silver sword and slashed at me, she missed. She coughed up blood.

"You dare pretend to be a Fatui agent, surely you would know that it's pointless doing that? Your life ends here," I Said, charging a the woman again. She blocked my attack but she was struggling. I knocked her sword out of her hands and stabbed her in the chest. I slammed her against the ground, activating my vision and burning her. The woman let out a loud scream, I had to finish the job before someone comes. "You have no idea who I came here to meet...he's gonna make quick work of you when he comes!" growled the woman as she slowly dies.

The woman died a minute after she screamed. I kicked her body into the bushes, my hands stained with blood and my sword's blade was dripping with blood. The bushes rustled.

I blocked a blow from a claymore with a burst of fire. I turned around to see Diluc, he had a disappointed, angry and surprised look.

oh no...he caught me...what do I do? Ugh! Why did it have to be Diluc who came here instead of a knight?

I looked at Diluc, I couldn't bring myself to attack him. "Look Diluc I can-" I began to speak but Diluc threw his claymore at me. I narrowly dodged it. "Why did you kill her? She is someone who works for me!" Said Diluc. He went to pick up his claymore, he threw blows after blows at me but he missed every single one of it.

"Listen Diluc, it was a mission! I could never decline one! And plus, I had no ideas you had spies in the Fatui!" I Said, my sword colliding with his claymore. I was struggling to counter this attack, the weight of the claymore and the force of this blow plus my injury in one slash was something I couldn't take.

I gave in and the claymore cut my shoulder.

"Look Diluc! I don't want to fight you! Please!" I Said, dodging another attack. Diluc stopped for a moment. "And you killed her without mercy. You're the same as the other Harbingers aren't you?" Said Diluc in a voice so fierce and cold, it can even make me shiver.

"Diluc...please. You know I didn't have a choice! Surely you can understand? I don't want to fight you, just stop!" I yelled. Diluc didn't say anything but attack me again. The cut on my shoulder suddenly seem to hurt more, was it the weight of my feelings or am I imagining it?

Diluc POV
I feel betrayed, I thought (y/n) was different...I thought she wasn't a cold-hearted murderer! How could she do such a thing? Lily(the woman) was my source of information on the Fatui too. I wasn't sure how to feel, maybe after this I will have a clear mind.

Third person POV
(Y/n) was exhausted, she had dodged many of Diluc's attacks but some did hit her. (Y/n) was getting weaker, she had no choice if she wanted to make it out alive. (Y/n) took in a deep breath and activated her delusion. She winced as she felt the pain hit her. (Y/n) stood up to Diluc's attack, her sword clashing against his claymore. Fire fighting fire.

Diluc was slowly panicking inside, he hated (y/n) at that moment but he couldn't help but to be worried. Diluc noticed that (y/n) was in pain and he knew that her injuries were not healed. He still loved her somehow. (Y/n) finally went into the offensive instead of just dodging. Diluc was almost overwhelmed by the increase in speed and strength.

Suddenly, (y/n) collapsed to the ground. Her delusion deactivated and she started to cough violently.

(Y/n) POV
I collapsed to the ground, the pain in my chest was too much. Maybe my feelings for Diluc was hurting me along with my injuries and the delusion. I coughed violently, my vision was blurring and I felt tired. The pain was still there, but it got more intense. Darkness edged my vision. All I could see was colours mashed and mixed together, blurred figures and muffed noises. I could tell that Diluc was crouching in front of me.

I couldn't feel my limbs, I couldn't see clearly but Diluc was holding me in his arms. Everything went black. Was this the end of me?
