(Y/n) POV
The chains pulled Bucker backwards and away from me. I looked for the source of the chain and found someone with crimson red hair tied in a high pony tail wearing a mask and a black coat. My vision was slightly blurred and edged with darkness, I was getting quite dizzy. I flopped onto the snow, I barely supported my self as I looked up.The man took down Bucker, and once he did, the delusion that Bucker was using shattered and turned into dust. I had gained some strength and with that strength I gathered, I shot an arrow which pierced through Bucker's heart. Bucker let out a silent gasped as blood gushed out of his mouth and the arrow wounds. I put away my weapons, I saw the figure of the man jump up into the tree where I threw the bag to and he came back down.
Please don't take it...I can't fight...just leave the bag please. Urgh, why can't I stop getting injured? I should've started with a poisoned arrow to the heart.
I clutched my fist, and looked weakly at the masked person who was standing in front of me. He supported me so I could stand up.
"Relax, I'm not going to do anything. You keep on getting yourself into situations like this. What's with you and recklessly fighting?" Said the person, his voice was awfully familiar. "Uh, do I know...you?" I said softly, violently coughing up blood again.
The person took of his mask, revealing his face. My eyes widened, it was Diluc. "It's fine, I'm here. You're safe now. Please don't die. Childe came with me," Said Diluc. Childe ran out from behind a bush, Diluc reluctantly handed Childe the folder in the bag. "I believe this belongs to the Fatui? Take it before I change my mind," Said Diluc.
Childe took the folder from Diluc and looked at me worriedly.
"(Y/n)...I should've been here to help you...if only I could've recovered. Oh, your delusion..." Childe went to pick up the delusion on the ground and put it into his pocket.
"I-I don't die so...easily...heh..." I said with a weak smile. Diluc and Childe brought me to the nearest doctor who tended to my wounds. Diluc went into my hospital room as soon as the doctors allowed visitors. Diluc was concerned, I understood why he was concerned but there was something else I was thinking about.
"Hey um Diluc? The...the chains you used back there. Those aren't pyro...did you use a delusion of some sort?" I Said. Diluc frozen, his expression quickly changed from surprised to blank. "I...I um, I did...it belonged to my father. He died using it to protect me a long time ago..." Diluc is then went on to describe the events in detail.
My eyes widened, those events were documented under 'assassination'. That was a planned assassination for Diluc, but his father died instead. I looked away. "Oh...sorry for making you explain that...it must've been devastating," I Said in a soft voice. I didn't think that it would be a good idea to tell Diluc about the real reason why the events on that day happened.
I watched as Diluc left me alone, not too long later, Childe came in. "You already had a hard day eh? Don't worry about the completion of that mission, I've submitted everything. Anyways, you won't mind if I follow you for debt collection right?" Said Childe, doing the puppy eyes but a less cute version of it.
I sighed and agreed after his constant blabber.
I was discharged from the hospital that night. I crossed off the assassination from the list. "I'll go check on the thing later, maybe after a while longer they would have more progress. Let's get going tonight. There's one close to the house anyways," I Said. Childe smiled. "Aww, you want to get it done as soon as possible?"
I sighed and nodded at Childe. We told everyone that we have something to do and we would be back for dinner a bit later. I grabbed a sandwich before leaving and ate it on the way.
We reached the house, it was a wealthy looking house. "It would be such a shame if we have to burn it down..." Said Childe with his battle obsessive smile. I shrugged and knocked on the door. A servant opened the door. "Debt collection," I Said in a cold voice.
Third person POV
The servant's eyes filled with fear, he slammed the door and locked it. There was loud footsteps, assuming that he went to find his master. "Childe, there's a back door. They might try to escape. I'll break in through a window," Said (y/n). (Y/n) ran to the nearest window and broke in. Glass shattered as she rolled into a fancy looking living room.(Y/n) ran towards the sound of voices, she burst into a room full of buff looking people, three to five servants and a very wealthy looking man. "Sir, your debt with the Fatui," Said (y/n), pointing her blade at the wealthy looking man. "I ...Uh...I can't pay it back! Guards! Get her!" Yelled the wealthy looking man.
(Y/n) took down his men with ease. The wealthy looking man was quivering as (y/n) moved closer to him. He threw a bag of mora at her, she counted it briefly and nodded with approval. "Thank you for your cooperation sir, goodbye," Said (y/n), leaving with the mora through the back door.
Childe was waiting there, he smiled when he saw you. "Aww, we didn't have to burn it all down?" Said Childe in a disappointed tone. (Y/n) shook her head and began the trip to the nearest Fatui base to send the mora to the main city. It was already nightfall when Childe and (y/n) returned to the house.
