8:Mutal connection

Diluc POV
We returned to the tavern before Huffman, the plan worked. (Y/N)'s final blow was impressive, I think I have feelings for her.
"But if I have feelings for her...the abyss or Fatui might take advantage of that against me...maybe we can have a relationship but a quiet one..." I was busy thinking about what I would say to (y/n) later when Huffman returned.

Third person POV
Huffman came into the tavern quite tried and a out of breath. "That was really unexpected, I never expected that the abyss order's army was just a bunch of slimes!" Said Huffman, seemingly proud of taking out a few slimes.

"Oh? That is a surprise. Maybe the Knights of Favonius' true calling is to be pest exterminators," Said Diluc, keeping his usual expression but with a hint of amusement in his voice.

Huffman frowned again, he then turned to Lumine and Paimon. "Did Master Diluc leave the tavern?" He asked. Lumine and paimon shook their head. "Then why are y'all so out of breath?" Said Huffman, he didn't seem to be referring to (y/n) which Diluc found strange.

(Y/N) wasn't as out of breath as Diluc and Lumine although she fought too. (Y/N) was still out of breath but she didn't make it obvious at all, only upon closer observation can one see her trying to catch her breath and with the fact that Huffman is ignoring her because he doesn't think much of her adds to why he didn't refer to (y/n) too.

"Hey! You there, did Master Diluc leave the tavern?" Said Huffman. The person shook his head and said, "No, Master Diluc was behind the counter the whole time,"

Huffman was confused. "Mr Huffman, your Dandelion wine?" Said Diluc. Huffman told Diluc that he changed his mind and left.

Paimon and Lumine heaved a sigh of relief. "Master Diluc, Paimon thought we were toast when he asked the other customers!" Said Paimon.

"The men here tonight are mine from the Dawn Winery, I foresaw that Huffman would get suspicious and ask other customers. I have a question for (y/n) though," Said Diluc.

(Y/n) seemed surprised. "Why does Huffman ignore you to the point he doesn't notice you trying to catch your breath?" Said Diluc. (Y/N) smiled. "One reason is I'm quite good at catching my breath unnoticed, another reason is he thinks I'm just any other untrained normal person,"

Diluc laughed softly. "So he didn't care to look at you closely? The Knights don't notice small details too huh?"

"So Master Diluc, the people here tonight are all in on it?" Said Paimon. Diluc nodded. Out of nowhere, Kaeya walked towards the counter. "Not all of them, I just picked and quiet spot to watch the show happen," Said Kaeya. Diluc seemed slightly surprised. "What? You're gonna expose me now?" Said Diluc bitterly.

Kaeya laughed, "Of course not, I just wanted to see how far Mondstadt's dark knight hero will take things."

Kaeya then went on to talk about how it is so interesting that Diluc needed help from other people, nonetheless a stranger who just arrived at Mondstadt a few days ago.

"I think you two would be cute together!" Said Kaeya, point to (y/n) and Diluc. (Y/N) blushed, Diluc's face was a bit pink. "Enough rubbish out of you, if you would be so kind, leave now," Said Diluc, keeping a stern tone.

"Okay, okay, I don't need anymore wine to entertain myself tonight," Said Kaeya, leaving.

(Y/N) POV
How Kaeya addressed how he thinks Diluc and I would be a cute couple is very direct, almost as if he knew we were meant for each other somehow. Diluc thanked us and I left straight after. "Hey, Lumine? Where do you plan to go next?" I asked. "Venti said that once a year, the geo archon will give his blessing to his people. I am hoping that the geo archon can give me some lead so I can find my brother, so Liyue is the next destination," Said Lumine

"LIYUE? No way, my monkey for a brother will be there... maybe Signora will also be there. Argh, no choice. I just hope my brother won't blow my cover if I managed to keep it all the way to Liyue..." I thought, thinking about how she can keep her cover a little while longer.

Narrator POV
(Y/N) stopped in a quite place in Mondstadt to sit down and think when Diluc came and wanted to talk to her
