"so, do you like your new nanny, hyuckie?" johnny asks, serving a small plate of kimchi-jjigae to the younger twin. donghyuck rolls his eyes.

"no." he simply says before digging into his own food. johnny looks confused as he stares at his son. "huh? why not? something wrong?" his voice is complete pull of confusion. "he's short and ugly." the curly haired boy says, unfazed.

yoomin holds in the urge to snort as ten is stood completely dumbfounded. he hasn't even dine anything, yes the kids already hate him? some job this is.

"kids," she regains her composure. "we don't talk about the maids like that at the table, show your manners." she gently scolds.

both yangyang and donghyuck share a look before the younger rolls his eyes, holding in a frustrated sigh.

"we've never met the kids' real mother— but seulgi, mina and even sorn have already met him before he passed away since they've worked for the suh's way longer than we have." lily says, wiping down the ceramic white plate.

"and you know what? sorn would always tell us stories about how kind mr. hyunjae was to all of them. sucks that he passed away though– he was too young." yeri sighs, rising off the lathered cups.

ten frowns. "well, that must've been hard for the kids, no? they lost one of their parents at such a young age, it's no wonder they're acting like this." yeri shakes her head. "no, not really. actually since their mom or dad passed, the twins got even closer with the nannies instead." she explains. ten nods, understanding everything now.

"but if sorn loves the kids, why did she resign then besides getting married? couldn't she work as a married woman?" ten asks, scratching the back if his head. joy chuckles. "well it's also because sorn couldn't stand mr. suh's girlfriend."

ten nods once more. the two walk to the backyard where lily is sitting on a bench, folding some laundry while she sings to herself.

"before sorn left, mr. johnny had started dating miss yoomin and yet she already acted like she one the one who owned us like we were her slaves. his relatives were even saying that she forced their relationship just for his money." lily scoffs, folding the rest of the remaining laundry and placing them into the hamper.

ten purses his lips. "h-hey, we should watch what we say. seulgi might not like gossip, you know." he nervously says, fiddling with his thumbs. joy snorts. "oh please, seulgi is the one who despises her the most! her snd doyoung share the same deep hatred for her— they just have to act nice since she's the boss' girlfriend." she says, pushing her fringe behind her ears.

"but, miss yoomin seems like a nice person." ten cringes ay what he says but he's only saying this incase it goes on record, and just incase if yoomin is actually eavesdropping their conversation. "and i'm sure her and mr. suh love each other a lot."

both lily and joy laugh. "but that's where you're wrong, buttercup." joy boops him on his nose playfully. ten scrunches his nose, giggling. "those two don't exactly get along well. you see, miss yoomin has been saying that she'll be working overtime at work but the thing is, sometimes she comes home piss-drunk or looking disheveled— one time i swear i saw a hickey in her neck when she came home once. since most of us are betas, we can't really smell any pheromones, plus she practically showers herself in perfume especially when mr. johnny comes home." the ravenette explains, puffing her cheeks.

ten hums. maybe this girl is probably cheating on the alpha, but he can't prove anything. he just nods along, listening to the stories the two maids are telling him.

"that lady is hiding something, i just know it. the two work at different companies, meaning no one is there to monitor one another. sometimes yoomin doesn't come home till after dinner time and even after we've waited fir her, she completely dismisses us. she doesn't make time for the kids and always treats them like they're robots of some sort." lily sighs, completely pitiful of the twins.
