much to johnny's doubt about if ten would be able to help him build the cabinet, ten actually did more work than him.

"can you hand me the drill, baby? i need to tighten this bar," ten says, holding his hand out for johnny to place the electric drill in. when the omega finally has it in his hands, he makes quick work and tightens said screw.

they're just about done building the entire thing, and the only thing left to do was to assemble the drawers themselves.

johnny had the task of doing that, sneaking glances every once in a while at ten who stuck the tip of his tongue out in concentration while he assembled the box of the cabinet. it's a really cute habit, johnny thinks as he almost drills his thumb into the wood.

the cabinet is done when they slip in all four drawers, sighing in satisfaction. "beautiful," ten smiles, plopping down on the love seat in the corner of the room. "oh- i'll help you put away my stuff, baby. i just need to rest," ten says, making the alpha pause in his actions as he's about to move ten's canvases in the lower drawers.

johnny raises a brow. "you sure, baby? you already did alot of work just building this— atleast let me do most of the moving here. you can arrange them later when you can so that you don't accidentally hurt yourself," johnny reasons out. ten just nods, agreeing with his idea.

he tries to understand that he's not as mobile as he used to be before he was pregnant, which is why he's on maternity leave at the studio.

ten quietly watches johnny carefully move his paints from the floor to their respective drawers. the omega wants to interfere, but he knows that johnny wants to do this for him, so he lets him do it.

it's late in the night when they both settle in for bed.

ten is leaning on the gray, tufted headboard, talking to his sisters over the phone.

"yeah, the party will be on the 25th," he says, resting his free hand over the top of his belly.

"well, i mean if you want to bring the kids gifts, surely you can do that— maybe try to bring the milk tea mix? the twins loved it the last time you guys brought it and have been bugging me to tell you guys to bring them some," ten chuckles, glancing at the door, spotting johnny enter their room.

"eh? marriage? mae! i don't know if johnny is ready for it," ten whines into the phone which makes the alpha curious. "please! he put a baby in you, of course he's going to be ready!" cat retorts, which makes her son flush at her bluntness. the topic of marriage has been a hot topic for ten as his family has been wondering when him and johnny will finally seal the deal with a ring on their fingers.

"your mom's right— when will you and that guy get married? my grandchild better have a father or else i'll chop his head off!" ten can hear his dad in the background say which makes his laugh. "paw, relax. you act like im dating johnny against my will— and, me and john will talk about it, for now, will you guys come to korea for christmas?" he asks the main question.

"of course! i've been dying to meet johnny's parents! we'll bring lots of gifts for you guys too," cat says with pure excitement in her voice. ten smiles at that. "okay, i'll see you guys then. love you guys!" ten exclaims into the phone. he's replied with a choir of 'i love you too' from his family until they end the call.

ten places his phone on the nightstand and turns to find johnny next to him on the bed, head resting on his fist. "you seem happy," the alpha points out with a small smile.

"of course! my family are going to be able to make it to christmas," ten beams, slipping down the bed so he can rest on his back.

"that's great! mom and dad are actually flying to korea next week so that their flight doesn't get overwhelmed with the amount of people traveling on christmas day itself," johnny says, gently placing his hand over ten's belly.
