"ma, pa, i have something to tell you guys." winter says, walking towards the omega who was busy watching cat videos. ten turns his phone off and looks at his daughter. "what's wrong bub?" he asks, patting the cushion next to him. johnny scoots over to let the girl sit down.

winter plops down and pulls her legs up underneath her, hugging one of the throw pillows next to her. "....what would you guys do if i liked girls?" she cautiously asks. ten tilts his head, a look of disbelief on his face. "would you kick me out..?"

winter's face pales at her parents' expression, that is until what he says next makes her feel much more relaxed. "you do know i'm literally dating your father, right? your auntie seulgi is married to your auntie irene too. i don't care if you liked girls, boys or anything! in this day and age, betas are able to love the same gender, despite what those conservative freaks say," ten says, resting both his hands ontop of his belly.

though omegas and alphas of the same sex are an acceptable thing in society, betas are little more prone to discrimination for liking the same sex because of their body chemistry— no scents, pheromones, heats, ruts or anything.

but, even if same sex omegas and alphas get together, you can't help but have that percentage of people who believe that female omegas and male alphas are the ones who are meant to be together, female betas and male betas are meant to be together— and that leaves the male omegas.

ten often experienced discrimination in his high school days especially when he used to be a tv star. after people found out he was a male omega, a handful were supportive and the rest decided it was time to find a new idol to stan. the stereotype that omegas are the most inferior sub-gender was heavily believed and even till now, it is.

kun has been let down multiple times by other doctors despite being one of the three best doctors and the head cardiologist in his hospital. jungwoo's modeling career has given him unfair treatment compared to all the female betas and alphas, whilst him, a male omega was given barely anything, but he still made a name for himself. taeyong's job as a dance teacher allows him authority, but the handful of assholes who think an omega is up for sex with them all the time is disgusting.

ten isn't working, but the amount of times he's been harassed by some people at johnny's workplace for being an omega is just gross (thankfully, johnny had fired them. good riddance).

"as long as you're good to others, and never become someone you're not, we'll always be here to support you. i want you to not give a crap about the people who believe that boys should be with girls and vice versa, okay?" ten tells her, holding both her hands. winter nods, sniffling. the omega smiles, wiping away her tears before pulling her into a hug.

"thank you. i was just scared of coming out....some of my classmates were ditched by their parents, some were being punished badly for it so...i don't know. i've been planning to tell you guys but i've never had the strength to do it." she sighs, leaning her head on ten's shoulder. "well i'm proud of you for coming out, right john?" the omega looks at her mate.

the alpha nods, stretching his arm out on the back rest. "of course. i'm glad you were comfortable enough to share this with us," he says, patting winter's back. "thanks, you guys. i have to go and visit karina at her place," she says hugging them both tightly.

"be safe out there!" johnny reminds her. "and no boys! even if you like girls! trust no boys!" he adds. ten slaps him on the shoulder at his ridiculousness.

the parents watch her walk away with proud smiles. "angel would be proud of her," johnny smiles, laying his head on ten's shoulder. the latter pats his cheek softly. "she'll always be proud of her— and you too, of course." ten tells him, pecking his cheek.
