Newt Imagine: First Kiss

You sat in the Deadheads talking with Newt. You and him could literally talk about anything together, except well, being together.

You had liked him since your eyes met his, but you weren't sure if he felt the same way; since he always called you his "best friend" or even sometimes his "little sister." That one hurt the most.

You and Newt were talking about the new greenie, Ava.

She had strawberry blonde hair, green eyes, and the cutest freckles. You hated to admit it, but you were jealous of her. Especially when Newt and her made 'googely eyes.'

"So, Newt. Tell me, who do you like?"
"What?" He questioned, turning his head toward you. You couldn't help but obsess over his accent.
"You heard me!" you teased.
"Umm, well I-I don't know. No one, I guess." He shrugged, looking away.

Your heart shattered.

"There's like five girls here, you don't think at least one is well uh--pretty?"
He thought for a moment.
"Do you like Ava?"
"Ava? Who's--ohh, the Greenie."
"Yeah. Well?"
"Y/N, fine I do like someone, but I'm not bloody telling anyone."
He motioned to a zipper on his lips and pretended to toss away a key, smirking at you.

"C'mon Newt, pleaseee!" You pleaded. "Not unless you tell me who you like. You always say you bloody like someone, but you never shucking tell me."
"Argh, fine, you first. Then I'll tell you; I promise I-"

You were interrupted by Newt's soft lips smashing onto your lips.

He rested his forehead against yours. "You Y/N. I bloody like, no..love. I bloody love you Y/N."
A huge smile covered your face as you teared up with joy.

"I-I love you too Newt. It was always you. It's always been you."

He slowly leaned in again and kissed you, but much longer than the last time. His hands pulled you closer and he ran his fingers up and down your back. It sent tingles up your spine. Your heartbeat quickly increased and butterflies exploded in your stomach.

"I've bloody loved you since I've laid my eyes on you Y/N." He mumbled against your lips.
