Newt // Argument

You were hanging around the gladers and talking to them, most of them followed you like sick love puppies, it was actually pretty funny.

When you went back to work, the boys weren't doing anything but talking to you. You knew that they should be working, but you also thought they should get more breaks; so you didn't say anything.

When you were in the middle of telling a story, someone tapped your shoulder. You turned around to be face to face with your boyfriend, Newt.

"Hi Newtie!" You exclaimed pecking his cheek and giving him a hug. He pushed you off though, he seemed..odd.

"Y/N, don't call me that. You know I bloody hate that nickname. Can I please talk to you?" He asked, grabbing your hand. "Yeah in a second? I was just telling them a story."
"Y/N but--"
"So anyway, I was standing there and he like--"
"Y/N, now..please." You rolled your eyes "Fine Newt! I'll be back soon guys.."

When you guys were alone, he looked you in the eyes.

"Y/N, don't get me wrong, but the boys aren't working and they're supposed to be."
"So you pulled me out here to tell me this? Why don't you shucking tell them? I'm not second in command..you are!"
"You don't understand! You're distracting them and they haven't been working since you came out of--"
"Wait so you're blaming this on me?!"
"No, well, I--"
"It's not my fault the shucking creators decided to put me out here! I never asked to be here!"
"None of us did y/n, but you have to listen--"
"Newt if you have such a problem with me being here and interrupting your useless 'order'--"
"Order isn't useless! It's the only thing that has kept us alive for all these years!!"
"Newt you need to chill! Take a break or something because you sound just like Alby!"
"I can't afford to take a break Y/N!"
"Yeah I see that. Maybe if you spent more time with me I wouldn't be 'distracting' the other Gladers!"
"I try to make time for you! You don't see what I do--"
"No, Newt! You wouldn't even return my hug and you claim you have time for me?! This isn't working Newt--"
"Y/N, no please I'm s--"
"Newt..I-it's over.. You're not the same anymore."

You looked at him in the eyes and pain and hurt covered his face. It hurt so bad to end it, you didn't want to, but things just weren't working. You turned around and heard Newt call your name. His voice was laced in hurt, you couldn't stand it anymore. You didn't want him to see you cry , and you didn't want to see him cry. You ran off, leaving him alone.
