Morgan's POV

"So let me get this right." Jason started.

"Okay."

"You and... Hayley Duvall kissed on Christmas."

"Yes."

"For like an hour?"

"I didn't really keep tabs on the time but my guess is that yes, something around that amount of time." I took a sip of my frappuccino.

"And you haven't talked to her in two days?"

"No, she hasn't texted or called me in those two days. I'm just giving her space and time to think."

After our... make out session we just kind of awkwardly parted ways, she just left with a short goodbye that night. We didn't talk about it, I'm not sure why because of course I wanted to—but I feel like Hayley needed time to think about what happened.

Jason sighed.

"Morgan you're twenty six years old and still are as dense as you were years ago. You are a woman and yet don't understand them! Make it make sense."

"I don't get what you mean," I said kind of frustrated.

I know I'm dense I got that part and the other where he said I didn't understand woman—I know that as well.

What I don't know is what does it have to do with Hayley and what I'm telling him.

He ran a hand through his face and looked at me in the eyes. "Morgan, I know you have good intentions by giving her space to think. That's totally fine. But you need to let her know that you want to talk to her so she doesn't think she screwed up or that you are avoiding her. Talk to her, okay? Communication is important we are not kids anymore."

"So... what you are saying is that I should go to her house and demand for answers?"

"Not like that idiot! You sound like you're going to torture or kill her."

"Okay sorry, bad wording." I finished my frappuccino before speaking again. "You mean that I go and talk to her about what happened and how we feel about it."

"Yes."

"And if she doesn't want to talk to me?"

Jason scratched his chin in thought. "Try a few more times, you'll know when to stop, just respect her wishes."

"Noted." I stood up and started to head to the counter of the coffee shop.

"What are you doing?" Jason asked.

"I'm going to get her some donuts."

"Smart, food is the way to the heart!"

Let's hope it is to Hayley's as well.

How should I do this?

I stood in front of Hayley's apartment door with a box of donuts in one hand. Pondering on whether should I knock once and come in as I usually do or knock and wait for her to open up.

Maybe for the moment the second option is the best one.

So I knocked three times and waited for the blonde to come and open up the door.

When she finally did open up she shut it close on my face after seeing it was me.

"Oh come on! Hayley please open up." I knocked again.

"I don't want to talk Morgan." Hayley said from the other side of the door.

"Please."

"No."
