Morgan's POV

"This is so unfair! Why did you come visit when you know I'm not there as well?" Jason complained through FaceTime.

"Well I could ask you the same." Kaden replied as she took a bite from her cotton candy.

It's now Thursday and Kaden and I were hanging out in the fair after being out and about for most of the day. These days we have tried to spent as much time possible, specially to try and recover our friendship. The awkwardness and... misunderstandings are no longer there, which I'm grateful for.

"It was the holidays and my parents were home. Now what's your excuse missy." Jason looked accusingly at our best friend through the camera.

"You are not here so I thought it was the perfect time to visit." Kaden retorted making our friend gasp dramatically.

I could only laugh as I heard the banter between my two best friends. It feels almost like the old times, if only Jason could just actually be here instead.

"Anyway! Did Morgan tell you she used to fuck her boss? That's a really entertaining story." Jason opened his big fucking mouth again.

"No, she did not tell me about that." Kaden turned to look at me with surprise on her face.

"Because it's not that important! Jason can't you just shut up?"

"It does sound like something important though." Kaden commented.

"It is important and hilarious because Morgan is a complete idiot." Jason said making Kaden burst out in laugher.

"Okay that's enough, nice chat Jason, see you another time!" I hung up the phone before he could open his mouth again.

"You didn't tell me about that," Kaden said as her laughter slowly died down.

"Yeah that's not something I like telling around, I was a real asshole to her." I admitted with shame still fresh on me, even though all has been forgiven by Elizabeth.

"I understand, you don't have to tell me." I could feel Kaden looking at me as I preferred to stare ahead instead.

"Thanks." I nodded my head once and flashed her a small smile.

After Kaden finished eating her cotton candy we decided to get on some rides— which was fun until I got way too dizzy to keep up getting on any more of them. So we tried sometime less extreme and nausea inducing and went to the bumping cars.

"How can you suck at bumper cars?" Kaden asked while trying not to laugh.

"I don't suck at it, you are just being an idiot." I rolled my eyes playfully and pushed her side."

"Oh come on Mor, you and I both know driving has never been your forte."

"Whatever!" I chuckled.

We settled on our next stop to be the carnival games to win some prizes—even though knowing how over competitive Kaden is I'm starting to have second thoughts about playing against her... or at all.

I regretted on playing as soon as we started —three different games so far and some way Kaden has managed to win against me in every single one and of course she has picked the biggest stuffed animal she could get her hands on—me as the loser I'm on the obligation to carry her trophies. God I did not miss her competitive side... only when it's against me though.

"You suck—like, really fucking suck." Kaden said as the guy behind the booth handed her her prize —a stuffed Kangaroo.

"Oh I'm sorry I'm not a crazy ass competitive bitch."
