The very next night, Dean kept his word and helped at the bar. At first no one really took to Dean. He was as some people would say, an outsider. But as he continued to help out, and pull his own weight behind the counter, every one began to consider him as an equal.

Dean always came into work with a smile on his face, bright and full of life. You loved seeing that. When you watched him with the regulars, it was clear that he enjoyed getting to know them. Not to mention that everyone was astonished by his skills as a bartender. The way he would flip and toss the bottles in the air and around himself and pour a shot, had people amazed. No one had ever done that before. He was popular with his antics as well as his looks. That was something that you got frustrated about.

The percentage of woman in the bar had gone sky high since Dean came back. Some of them didn't even live in the town but when word got around that there was a handsome bartender in the next town over, they piled in. Sure, Dean would entertain them. He would give them a show just like he did with others but he kept it professional. There had been more than one incident where the women interested in him would flirt and get handsy. That's where you'd show up and tell them that he was happily taken. Of course being the dumbasses that they were, they'd ask with who. You proudly grabbed his waist, placing a kiss on his cheek, and told them it was you.

Let's just say that none of them were happy about it. You didn't care. Dean was yours and you were his. It's not like you two didn't show your affection in front of a crowd. He'd come up behind you and grab your ass, he'd roll up the white towel and smack your butt with it, he'd even spontaneously pull you to him and plant a lustful kiss on your lips. The PDA was a casual thing inside the bar. Linda didn't seem to mind unless it was getting out of hand. She had to get onto you two more than once about getting back to work and stop eating each other's faces. Her comment made you and Dean laugh.

All in all, your life was back on track. You were content with coming home with Dean to your apartment, and waking up to him. This was what you wanted for him and you. Finally, you had achieved it. You only thanked God that he came back.

Cole backed off tremendously. It was obvious that he didn't want any part of Dean. He seemed afraid of him, which he rightfully should be. But unfortunately the threats from Dean didn't sway him from the flirting. Cole tried his best to flirt with you when Dean was close by to hear. He may have stopped the innocent touching and the hugs but he never quit with the flirting. Dean couldn't stand it. It pissed him off. You always reminded Dean that Cole was only doing it to get a reaction from him. He knew that but fuck he couldn't help his hands turning into fists at his sides when Cole told you how beautiful you looked. That was Dean's job to do that, not Cole.

Besides the frustration and rising tension, things were going good. That is until you found out who Dean really was.

It was Friday night, a crowd of regulars surrounded the bar as Dean was performing a show. You stood by the office door, signing off on some papers, while catching glimpses of Dean. You smiled when you saw him roll a liquor bottle from his shoulder, down his arm, bumping it with his elbow into the air, posing his best impression of Elvis, then grabbing the bottle before it hit the floor. He poured the brown liquid into about fifteen shot glasses as he walked down the counter. Once he set the bottle down in its rightful place, he raised his arms, and every one clapped while cheering.

You shook your head, smile fading when you noticed Cole walk in for his shift. You focused on your papers, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of your eyes upon him. He approached you, you moved aside to let him pass by. But, as fate would have it, Cole stopped right next to you. You kept your head down, feeling his gaze on you. It made you uncomfortable.

"I see boy toy has won the crowd already this afternoon."

'Thanks for pointing out the fucking obvious,' you said to yourself.
