Amber feels so much better after talking to Jordan. She's glad she told him everything that happened. Now they can talk about more important things, like the upcoming tour.
"Are you ready for another tour?"
Jordan smiles, "Yes. You know how much I love being on stage. Performing for our fans. What about you? Are you okay with Joe being gone on tour? I mean you two just got back together. You'll be okay here by yourself with the kid?"
Amber laughs. "I'll be fine Jordan. You guys are only going to be gone two months. I'll be just fine with the kid. Why do all of you call him that? He has a name."
"I'm not sure who started it, but basically it came down to the fact that we all call Joe, Joey. So we started calling Joey, The Kid. It kind of stuck. I'm glad you're okay with Joe going on tour, I wasn't trying to imply you weren't capable of taking care of the kid by yourself. I hope you didn't take it that way. How are you doing after yesterday? You feeling okay? How's your leg? Your head looks good."
Amber feels almost bad that she doesn't feel worse. There were so many people who got hurt much worse than her. So many of them lost limbs. She prays they catch whoever did this soon. She keeps worrying they'll do it again. "I'm feeling fine. My leg hurts a little but it's not terribly bad. Damn Jordan look at the time, Joe's going to be worried. I still need to run by my house and grab a few things. I'll see you in the studio tomorrow though right?"
"Yeah, we have to get your last two songs recorded. I want everything ready before I leave. You need to know that Andi will be back tomorrow. Actually she'll be back tonight, so she'll be at the office tomorrow. I can keep her away from the studio if you'd like me to."
Amber doesn't want that. She wants to see Andi. She's the last loved one she needs to fix things with. It's time to let go of that hurt too. She can't stay mad at Andi, not if she's not mad at Jordan. Plus, she loves Andi, like a sister. They've been friends practically their whole lives. She misses their friendship so much. "No that's okay. I'd like to see her." Jordan walks her to the door and Amber hugs him tight before she leaves. "Thank you for talking to me Pops. I love you."
Jordan fights back his tears. "No thank you baby girl. I love you so much."
The next day Amber and Joe arrive at the studio to a lot of curious looks.
"Hey you two, is there something you want to tell us?" Donnie's the first one to address the fact that Amber and Joe are walking in together, smiling and holding hands.
Joe looks at Amber, who nods at him. "Well there is one little thing. It's really not a big deal at all. We just got back together." Joe and Amber both shrug their shoulders.
"What? That's great. And it's definitely a big deal." Jon grabs Amber and hugs her tight. "Im so happy for you both."
Danny pats Joe on the back, "It's about time Joey Joe. Good for you."
Donnie approaches Amber, a little worried she's still upset at him. "I'm really happy for you both." Amber hugs him, letting him know they're good. "Thank you Donnie."
After all the hugs and congratulations, Amber heads to the recording studio and the guys go to rehearsals. Bradley is waiting for her outside the studio door. "I hear congratulations are in order."
"I guess it depends on who you are. I wouldn't really expect congratulations from you. I'm really sorry if I hurt you Bradley. I never wanted that. I had no idea Joe still had feelings for me. It took a near death experience for him to finally admit it. I have a second chance at us being a family. I have to take it." Amber feels terrible for hurting him. She did have feelings for him. He'd been good to her.
"Amber I get it. I'm not mad at you for going back to Joe. I hope we can be friends and you're still okay working with me."
"Of course we can still work together. And I'd like very much if we could be friends. Thank you for being so cool about this. Are you working with us today?"
"Yeah as long as you're okay with that."
"I'm good with it Bradley. Let's get to work."
After a few days back in their routines things couldn't be better with Joe and Amber. Joe's started asking Amber to move in with him. He wants her to sale her house and make it official they are a couple again. Amber is ready to move in with him, but she's not sure she wants to sale her house.
"Amber I want you and the kid to come out on tour with me. I want the kid to be able to hang out with me while I'm out. And before too long he'll be in school and it won't be an option. I'm also not really thrilled about being away from you when we've just gotten back together."
Joe waits for her to say no and have a million reasons why she can't or won't go. But to his surprise she says she'd love to go with him. "Joe I think that's a great idea. I'd love that, going on the road as a family. Showing Joey the country. Letting him see his daddy perform. And us making love every night on a tour bus again. Who could say no to that?"
Jordan's happy to hear Amber and Joey will be joining them too. He hasn't gotten to spend as much time with his grandson as he would have liked. His relationship with Joe had unfortunately suffered after Amber left. No matter how much she'd hurt Joe he couldn't be around Joe when he'd been talking bad about her. He didn't blame Joe or hold it against him. He'd actually understood and would have felt the same if Evelyn had done the same thing to him. The difference was Jordan wouldn't have been around Evelyn's family like he was around Joe. Jordan really hoped he and Joe could repair their relationship like they had with Amber.
