"Andi just do it. Please, I really need your help with this." Amber begs.
Andi hates this. She can't believe what Amber is asking of her. Normally it wouldn't matter what her best friend asked her to do, she'd do it without question. But this? This is by far the most devious thing she's ever been asked to do. And on top of that, this will most definitely affect Jordan.
It could affect her relationship with Jordan. It could affect her job with the guys.
"Are you sure this is what you want to do Amber? I mean..."
Amber cuts Andi off. "No it's not what I want, it's what I need to do. It's what's best for everyone. This situation isn't healthy for me or the baby. I can't expect anyone else involved to make the right decision, so I have to. And truly this is the right decision. So will you help me or not?"
Andi understands why Amber is asking this of her, but she still hates it. "Yes Amber of course I'll help you. I'll call the guys in for a meeting tomorrow. You're sure that's all I have to do?"
Amber weakly smiles at her best friend. "That's all I need you to do. Just get Joe out of the house for like an hour. I can't do this if he's hovering over me."
Later that night, while Amber and Joe are watching a movie when his phone rings. "Hey Andi what's up?" He listens for a minute then looks at Amber. "Andi I can't come in tomorrow, just do the meeting without me." Joe gets up and walks into the kitchen. "No Andi, I'm not leaving Amber. She just got out of the hospital three days ago. Teleconference me in."
Amber listens intently, she hears Joe getting upset and thinks her plan is going to fall apart. Then finally Andi says something that makes Joe agree. "Fine Andi but it needs to be a quick meeting so I can get back home. I don't like leaving Amber alone with Joey." Then she hears him say, "Yeah fine, I'll see you tomorrow."
Amber turns back to the TV when she hears Joe get off the call. He's cussing under his breath when he comes back into the living room.
"What's wrong babe? What did Andi want?"
Joe sits back down on the couch and pulls Amber onto his lap. "A group meeting. I have to go into the office tomorrow for a little while."
Amber kisses him on the lips. "I'll be fine by myself for a little while babe. You know you worry too much." She turns on his lap so she's facing him and kisses him more passionately. Amber feels him grow hard beneath her, she grinds her core against him. Joe moans. Hearing him makes her move her hips a little faster. Joe takes hee hair in his hand and pulls her head back, exposing her beautiful neck. His mouth descends on her soft, sensitive skin. Amber moans loudly, she wants him, now.
Amber begins to undress him and herself. She wants to feel his skin against hers. When she presses her bare chest to his, it's like electricity passes between them. She can't wait any longer. Her hands move to his pants, sliding past his waistband. Joe moans, but as soon as she wraps her hand around him he stops her.
"Wait, babe stop. We can't. You can't do this. Didn't the doctor say no sex?"
"He said no sex as long as I was still bleeding. The bleeding stopped two days ago. I'm fine." She goes back to trying to undress him.
Again Joe pulls away from her. "Amber please. We can't. I don't want to hurt you or the baby."
Amber gets up and kisses Joe on the lips. "Fine. I'm going to bed. What times your meeting tomorrow?"
"I have to be there at two o'clock. Are you mad at me babe?" Joe looks worried, which makes her feel bad, she knows he isn't trying to upset her. Unfortunately she is upset, not just by him rejecting her but also because of the position she's been put in to make some really hard decisions.
"No I'm just tired Joe. You finish watching the movie." She kisses him again and heads to bed.
Amber looks in on Joey as she passes his room. He looks so peaceful sleeping so soundly. Amber goes in to kiss him, but ends up crawling into bed with him. It only takes a few minutes for her to fall asleep once she has him in her arms.
When Amber wakes up the next morning still holding little Joey. She looks around, feeling a little unsure where she is. She can see the light coming through the curtains, so she knows it's morning.
Amber slides her arm out from under Joey and heads to her and Joe's room. Joe's not in bed though. She thinks he must have fallen asleep on the couch, but he's not there either.
Amber takes this moment alone to send off a quick text. "Be here today at 2:15. We won't have much time."
Just as she hits send she feels arms go around her from behind and soft, warm lips touch her neck. "Good morning babe. Who are you texting so early?"
Amber quickly sits her phone down on the counter, face down. And she turns around in his arms. "Good morning to you Joseph." She kisses him softly on the lips. Amber feels his hand begin to slowly travel up the back of her tank top. He kisses her neck again as his hand slips over her ribs to her breast. He gently squeezes. "Joe what are you doing?"
"What's it feel like I'm doing?" He pushes his erection against her, which makes her moan. "I mean if your doctor says it's okay who am I to question that?"
Excitement shoots through her core as Joe lifts her into his arms and carries her to their bed. Joe slowly and gently makes love to her. It's so passionate and full of emotions that Amber can't stop herself from crying. Joe kisses away her tears as he tells her how much he loves her.
Amber begins to have doubts about her decision. She questions if she's really making the right choice. She thinks about begging him not to go to his meeting. She knows he won't go if she asks him not to. She tries to force the words out of her mouth, but she can't seem to do it.
Amber is so lost in her thoughts and emotions, she doesn't realize Joe's finished until she feels his absence. She feels so empty when he pulls out of her, when their connection is broken. It's almost unbearable.
