"Hope hyung! Are you taking pictures of a café again?" chided Jimin as both he and Hoseok exited the café they went in Japan.
They were currently in there for a fan meeting event and Hoseok has developed a habit of taking pictures of café and restaurant that he went to. He also took a lot of pictures of food. Bread to be exact. Brioche, focaccia, ciabatta, baguette and everything in between. He had a crash course in gluten free and sourdough bread. Can't actually be a business partner of the bakery and not know about what the bakery is specializing at.
"For future reference," Hoseok said to Jimin. "The café's nice. I'll be sending the pictures to my partner after this." They both went inside the car as they made their journey back to their hotel room.
"I bet Sunhee noona's phone will be clogged by the pictures you sent," Jimin smirked good-naturedly. Hoseok told Jimin about the partnership but not about the crush. He was keeping that to himself, Jin and Yoongi. He wasn't ready to tell Jimin about it despite them being roommates. Jimin would support him all the way, Hoseok knew that but he wasn't ready.
"That's the part of the deal. I scout for ideas, she's the one who's doing the hard work," Hoseok said as he scrolled through the pictures he took. Sunhee already had plans in her head on what the café would look like but that didn't stop her from asking Hoseok to take pictures of nice looking café if he saw one during his travels. She didn't ask for a lot but Hoseok felt he had to fulfill that request by going on a lookout for all the bakery café that he saw along the way.
The agreement was signed and he was legally the partner of 2nd Chance Bakery. Being a silent partner, technically, he didn't have to think that much and leave everything to Sunhee. She kept him updated with the major things which involved the expansion. She had contacted the next door shop's owner and got the lease for it starting from May.
Sunhee was a good strategist.
She planned it so that the bakery won't have to be completely closed throughout the renovation works. The existing bakery would serve as the main kitchen. The shop next door would be the café area where they put their display area along with the dining tables for the customers.
She already hired 2 more workers to train until the grand opening of the new bakery café. If the plan went well, that would take place in October the latest. If she could get hold of the interior designer who could fit the budget and design much earlier, they might be able to open in September. She was giving herself a month of leeway for the search.
For now she was going around looking for the design consultant to hire. Hoseok really respected her drive and diligence for the bakery. He gave her some recommendations and she was looking through it. She was juggling a lot on her own with the baking and running the bakery that he wondered if she ever sit down and relax.
Hoseok then laughed silently. That was like the pot calling the kettle black. The same could be said for him. When was the last time he wind down and really relax? Being busy is a part of his job especially at the scale that the group is going to.
"What's funny, hyung?" Jimin asked from his side of the car.
"The picture I took. Looks funny."
Jimin looked at him weirdly as he peered at Hoseok's phone. "That's a door. What makes it funny? Are you okay, hyung?" Jimin looked concerned.
"I'm fine," Hoseok answered.
"You haven't told me much about this bakery. Can I go and visit when we're back?" Jimin suggested.
"For sure. I'm going to have you buy a lot from there. You're going to make me richer," Hoseok cackled.
"I'm more interested to know about your partner than the bakery itself," Jimin confessed. "Is your partner pretty?" Jimin waggled his eyebrows.
