It was still dark when Sunhee peeped through her eyelid. She didn't have to check to know that she was alone in the bed. Despite that, she turned and looked to the empty spot next to hers. Sunhee snuggled in deeply in the covers and sighed. She needed to turn up the temperature for the air-conditioner as it felt chilly.
Did Hoseok leave after she slept?
Sunhee just hoped he's not the type who just leave after a night spent together. He would definitely hear from her if he does. She hated to be clingy but being left right after without her knowledge made her feel used.
Sunhee laughed to herself.
How can she know how that would feel other than the movies she watched and the books she read?
Sunhee then perked up to the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. He's still here and he didn't turn any lights on around the house. Looking at the clock, she figured she had only slept for a very short time.
She stretched languidly. The muscles that she never knew existed felt sore but pleasant at the same time. Strangely enough, she didn't feel any remnants of drowsiness nor headache from her hungover. She covered her face and smiled. She was right, Hoseok is the best hangover cure.
She yawned sleepily and stared at the ceiling. She was torn between staying in bed, feigning sleep or get up and wait for him. After considering her options, she decided the latter.
Sunhee turned on the lamp and closed her eyes to the sudden glare of the lights. She looked around. The clothes that she remembered were thrown on the floor were now arranged neatly on the sofa. Sunhee smiled at the sight. Judging from what she could see, Hoseok's a very neat person. He cleaned her mess up and even washed her dirty shirt when he could just chuck that into the hamper.
She put on her clothes and then went to the dresser to get a hairband. She didn't know where the one she used last night ended up at after he tossed it away. She combed her hair and saw herself in the mirror. She looked like a woman who was thoroughly made love to. The neckline of her oversized shirt was big enough to show some hickeys on top of her chest. That wouldn't be a problem. She could just cover that up with anything that she wears.
Next, she went to the clothes rack. His shirt was drying nicely. She couldn't say the same for his jacket since he couldn't simply toss that into the washing machine. From the looks of it, he tried to clean it up but failed. It stank and needed to be sent for professional cleaning. Sunhee felt bad for him but she couldn't undo what happened the night before. She looked in the direction of the bathroom again.
How does a person handle the morning after?
Would it be awkward as hell or everything would be just fine and dandy?
Sunhee went to the kitchen sink and washed her face. She needed to do something other than just sit and wait. She took out a mug from the cupboard and made coffee for him. That was the only thing she could do since her cupboard was still empty. She planned to stock up the kitchen today. There were so many things that she needed to buy. She made an extra mug of coffee for herself and was about to bring it to the couch when she saw Hoseok getting out of the bathroom. His hair was wet from the shower and that man looked super fine.
"I used your towel from last night, I hope you don't mind," he said as he hung the towel around his shoulder and dried his hair off.
"It's fine, go ahead," responded Sunhee sipping on her coffee.
"Did I wake you?" he asked.
"No. I can't sleep anymore. I'm usually up and about at this time anyway," Sunhee said, holding the mug out for him. "I made coffee for you. Iced Americano, no matter the hour, the way you like it."
