The watch showed 12 am when Hoseok drove to his apartment after work ended. It's funny that he found himself drawn to the house more. Usually, he would hate the empty space that the apartment provided. A three-bedroom house is too spacious for only a person as to why he preferred the dorm more than anywhere else. He was used to the cramped house back when he was a trainee. Now they're living in a bigger house, but he knew he won't be staying there forever. He would have to move out of the dorm one day and live on his own.

Hoseok remodelled the house before Sunhee and him were even together. Since most of the work was focused on the kitchen, the design consultant managed to get it done in 10 weeks. The talks and discussions they had about the concept of the bakery café just made him want to put the design a reality.

He's not an avid fan of wood but he just felt that he had to put all of Sunhee's ideas for the kitchen in since he didn't mind much about how a kitchen should look. The idea was too good to pass up anyway. He was actually close to installing a proofing oven there but managed to stop himself. Putting that in meant that he was trying too hard. They weren't even in a relationship then. Bakers didn't even have them installed in their own house to begin with.

When Sunhee told him that she was looking for an apartment, he was overjoyed, thinking that she would just accept his offer. He was wrong. She was stubborn and refused him on the spot. He tried again after that and she turned him down again. The best way he could think of to get her to change her mind was to just bring her there, which he finally did a couple of days ago. He didn't think that she would just move in an instant knowing how hard-headed she could be. Getting her to stay there was just enough for now which she still hadn't decided yet. He thought about the upcoming schedule.

Two months apart would be tough but he was being optimistic. They'll work through it. He didn't want to pester her to stay with him. She would resist more if he did. That was just how she is.

Hoseok's stomach grumbled as he reached the door. Cooking ramyeon would be nice for supper as there's no photoshoot the next day. He didn't have to care about looking puffed up in the morning. He scanned his fingerprint and opened the door.

Hoseok stopped. He was greeted with the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. He opened the shoe rack and saw Sunhee's shoes in it. He couldn't see the living room from where he was at but the TV was on. He rushed in and warmth spread all over him as he saw the view in front of him.

Sunhee was sleeping on the sofa. She was sitting with the remote control in her hand. Her head was thrown back and her mouth was half open. She was snoring softly. Hoseok smiled. He often found her like that at her house when he dropped by for the night. Only this time, she was at his house.

He knew she would just sleep anywhere if it was up to her. Being an insomniac made her doze off at any time and any place. Back at her house, other than her sofa, he would find her sleeping at her work desk and sometimes on her yoga mat if something was troubling her too much.

He switched off the TV and dimmed the lights in the living room. Sunhee was awake when he lifted her up.

"You're back," she said sleepily. "Surprise," she said softly, rubbing her face to the crook of his neck. "I want to tell you, I'm just staying until you go overseas. I'm not moving in."

"I know," he replied. "You really do love to do this kind of thing," said Hoseok, grinning like a fool.

"You have to admit, you love it too," mumbled Sunhee as he placed her on the bed.

"I love it because I love you," he kissed her.

"I love you too," she replied.

"Finally, you say something other than 'me too'," said Hoseok, lying next to her.

"I'd prefer saying it face to face, like now."

"Then how am I going to survive those 2 months without that?" he raised his head.

"That's different," she replied. "I'm going to miss you like crazy."

"Me too," Hoseok pulled her close. "I won't be around for the re-opening of the bakery café," he sighed regretfully. The construction was nearly done and the café was due to open in early October. He would be busy with his concert tours and other programmes overseas.

"We both know that. Don't worry. You go on with your work and I do mine. I baked some cinnamon rolls if you're up for supper."

"That could wait."

"Wait for what? It's still fresh."

"I'm having you first," he replied.
