After a while Raven and Damian had left the roof and headed back inside. Raven parted with her boyfriend for a while to get some meditation in and Damian was going to train, his legs were basically fully functional again and he noticed he was able to do what he used to be able to do.
"Hey, Damian..."
"What do you want Jaime?"
"Have you seen Gar, I know you're probably not one to care where he is but I haven't seen him since he ran off." Garfield was Jaime's best friend and it didn't matter what happened with him, he was the same person.
"It may surprise you but no, I don't know where he is and I don't care. Ask Kori you know how much she cares!"
"Ask me what?" Kori stepped in as she was curious what Jaime wanted to know, he's usually quite smart, especially with the scarab on his back.
"Just wondering where Gar was and if anyone had seen him."
"Unfortunately I haven't seen Gar and we can't seem to find him. Doesn't he have some place where you and him go to play video games with your friends outside the Tower?"
"Oh yeah I'll check there. Thanks Kori."
As Jaime entered the building he noticed the place had been trashed. Someone had clearly broken in and was looking for something. Jaime was somewhat heartbroken at the sight of his and Garfield's man cave destroyed.
"Almost brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it."
"Uh oh..." Jaime slowly turned around then instantly starting trying to shoot Deathstroke, who unfortunately dodged all of his attacks. Jaime was no match for Deathstroke. Last time he fought Deathstroke he had Kori and Robin with him and they all lost.
"Ah! What the hell was that?!" Something sharp had gotten to his neck. His vision begun going blurry and he could no longer stand. He slowly passed out, another Titan down.
...
"See you're doing a lot better." Nightwing had healed up fully since he was captured by Deathstroke but he knew Damian was far worse off than he was. He grew more protective of his brother when he couldn't walk but then he did have Raven as well so he eased up after he got his legs back.
"Indeed. What do you want Grayson? I've already had Jaime and Kori interrupt my training, so what's your excuse?" Damian just wanted to get back to training as he hadn't been able to train properly and he needed to remaster his skills.
"Well Kori and I are going out later and we'll be going back to our apartment. We won't be here again till morning, so until Jaime gets back, it's just you and Raven." He followed with a wink and hoped to leave before Damian acknowledged what he had done. Unfortunately it was too late.
"Mind telling me what that wink was for Grayson!" It was not a question, it was a command and Dick knew not to disobey. Especially not after what had happened to him last time he did and he had to stay in the infirmary for a week.
"J-just make sure you use p-protection." He quickly ran off. Damian however made no attempt to pursue as he was awe struck by what his brother had said.
Deciding to call it a day, Damian made his way to Raven's room. He knocked on the door and could hear shuffling, Raven opened the door. She was initially unhappy that someone interrupted her meditation but seeing Damian was better than meditation in her mind.
"Hi."
"Hi, may I come in?"
She moved aside and gestured for Damian to come in.
"You ok?" Raven asked with a concerned look on her face. They both sat on her bed opposite each other so to look into each other's eyes while they talked.
"Yeah I'm fine." He lied. He couldn't help but think about what Nightwing said but that wasn't something he wanted to discuss right now.
"Grayson and Starfire are going out and won't be back until tomorrow. Jaime is out as well looking for Garfield, so it's gonna be me and you for a while. Unless you wanna carry on meditating I thought we could do something together?" Damian was nervous to ask that. He wondered why, she is his girlfriend and it wouldn't be weird or anything but he started to blush a little bit.
Raven took notice of this and had to hold back a laugh. "I would love to do something with you." She replied with a smile.
"Anything you have in mind?" Damian would be happy for her to decide, it couldn't be any worse than watching a horror movie like Gar picked every time when Kori organised 'mandatory fun'.
"We could go for a walk out in the park?" Raven was a bit hesitant with that as they've always been busy before so social activities were outside her area of expertise.
"I'm happy with that, especially if you are." Damian replied with the rare sight of a smile. Raven couldn't help but smile back.
...
"So what made you wanna walk in the park? Nothing against it, it's nice?"
"On Azarath there was one huge park. I used to go there with my mother all the time. When Trigon destroyed Azarath, because of me, I checked the park and it didn't even exist anymore. This park reminds me of my mother." Damian noticed a tear rolling down Raven's cheek. They stopped and he turned to face her. He rubbed the cheek off with his thumb and then gave her a short but soft kiss.
"I'm sorry about that Raven. I'm sure your mother was a great person. I'm sorry about Azarath as well." His expression was that of sadness and concern. She gave him another kiss then buried herself in his arms.
"Thank you Damian, I think I want to go home now though."
"If that's what you want."
They walked back to the tower, to Raven's room hand in hand. It was late and the two needed some rest. One question weighed heavily on Damian's mind though. He knew to most this would be a step in the relationship that others wouldn't take for a while if at all. They had known each other for years now though and he thought now was as good a time as any.
As he tucked his girlfriend into bed he noticed her hand on his. She was gripping it tightly.
"Don't leave, I want to spend the night with you." Damian merely smiled as he planned on going nowhere.
"I'm not leaving, love." The question was pinned in his head and his expression turned to one of slight fear as he got into bed with her.
"Damian, what's wrong." She said as she moved closer and wrapped her arms around him, still maintaining eye contact.
Damian looked up and thought of the time they've had together from when they first met to now. Finally he convinced his heart he was going to do it.
"I've just been thinking about us. I-I don't ever want it to stop and I just wanted to know how you feel about us being permanent... forever?"
Raven's eyes widened, she was not expecting this so soon but she had thought about it too and had come to the conclusion that... yes she wanted them to always be together.
Her face turned into a soft expression and she pulled him into a long passionate kiss.
"I would be the happiest I have ever been for us to be... forever." She smiled at him, not once breaking eye contact. The same could be said for Damian. Emerald met Amethyst. They kissed once again, just as long and just as passionate.
"I love you so much Raven."
"I love you more."
With that they both went to sleep in each other's arms.
Meanwhile Deathstroke was watching Kori and Dick as they sat down at a restaurant. His targets awaited him...
