Damian was on edge the next day. Raven said she felt an aura somewhat similar to his but whoever it was has dangerous intentions. They knew that they were supposed to be on patrol today, but they couldn't help but investigate. Their search brought them to the roof and Damian was infuriated with the sight. Raven could see his eyes had narrowed significantly and his fists were clenched until he pulled out his sword getting ready to attack.

"Mother..." Damian blurted with an aggressive tone.

"Damian, my son. I see you have a companion now." Talia looked at Raven with a devilish smile. Raven knew that she clearly wasn't familiar with her power.

"Leave her out of this Mother." Damian stood in front of Raven, holding his sword pointed at his mother. "What do you want Talia?"

Damian knew his mother and knew she wouldn't just be there to fight, she had her plans and he was going to find them out. Above all else though, Dick's death had hardened him in battle and he knew he could kill her if a fight came up.

"I can't leave your beloved out of this son. She is important to you and you will watch as I torture her in front of you." She snapped her fingers and 4 assassins restrained Damian while Talia moved in and pushed Raven away, causing her to be unable to assist her boyfriend.

"Raven!" Damian struggled while he could do nothing but watch his girlfriend: daughter of literal Satan, fight his mother: basically Queen of assassins.

Raven underestimated Talia. She found magic useless as Talia was agile and good at avoiding her attacks. She knew she would have no chance with hand to hand combat but she had no choice.

Whilst Raven was facing Talia, Damian set off his homing beacon, discreetly, alerting the other Titans to his trouble. Raven was no match for Talia and she gained multiple wounds and managed to subdue Raven.

"Why are you doing this Mother?!"

"To harden you son, to bring you back to your senses. This wench is the reason you are so soft, she will suffer so you suffer." Raven looked at Damian with tears in her eyes. Damian began struggling more and knocked out all the assassins. Talia aimed a gun to Raven and pulled the trigger.

The shot would've killed her but Damian stood in front of her and took the bullet. It hit his shoulder and he quickly collapsed. Raven looked in horror but managed to escape and unleashed a powerful spell on Talia.

She survived but was mortally wounded. The Titans came at last and took care of Talia.

Raven crawled over to Damian and held onto his face. He was alive, just unconscious. She removed the bullet and healed his shoulder. He then woke up and caressed Raven's cheek.

"Damian! Thank god!"

"Raven? You're ok!"

"I can handle some cuts and bruises Love." Raven laughed and helped Damian to his feet. Damian noticed his mother being carried away, probably the cells in the tower. While telling Kori they were fine.

Damian insisted that he tend to Raven's wounds in their room. While walking there he couldn't help but wonder if he had put Raven in too much danger by them being together. He would never give up on their relationship but he wanted to make sure she was safe.

"What's on your mind Dami? Is it your mother? I know how you feel about all that and..." she was cut off by Damian's lips crashing onto hers. She quickly began to kiss back with equal intensity until they pulled away and Damian placed his forehead leaning on hers.

"Sorry. I just... I know I want so badly to be with you and this relationship to go on forever but, I don't wanna put you in more danger. Don't worry we'll never end it, I'm just worried and seeing you against my mother was hard for me to watch. It hurts to see you hurt." Raven knew what he was talking about. She often thought the same thing with her father sometimes making empty threats

She caressed his cheeks and kissed him again. "Damian Wayne, you know I feel the same about you. But this was always gonna happen whether we are together or not. It hurts to see you get hurt too... it's because I love you so much and you know that."

Damian smiled at that and pulled Raven into his arms whilst giving her another kiss. "I know... I love you too Raven."

He couldn't help but wonder about his mother though. Although she could wait. He informed his father and Bruce said he would assist with her interrogation. Selina was also eager to come now that her and Bruce were together and committed to that.

Damian didn't fully approve of Selina but Raven convinced him to give her a chance. His mother would receive a painful interrogation tomorrow from Selina alone.

Author: sorry this is a bit shorter but I wrote this while I was laying in bed and I was planning on going to sleep and I did this instead 😂. Sorry if it's not great. This story is a bit of fun for me and I'll probably be writing more as well. This one will probably end on either the 15th or 20th chapter so stick around 👍🏻
