After locking up the store and checking if everything was good for the night (Ms. Hwang was so nice to lend me her spare key so I could stay longer. I had to promise to clean up everything properly though.), I too made my way home.

Once I opened the door to Yoohyeons home, she was already running towards me, engulfing me in a bone crushing hug.

"Where have you been? We were worried." she said, pouting. When she realised me from her hug I could finally breathe again.

"Uhh..."

"We really were worried." Yoohyeons mom's head popped out of the kitchen.

"I ... was still at the pet shelter." I shrugged.

I could hear both Yoohyeon and her mom sigh of relief.

"We thought you got kidnapped or something."

"Yoohyeon!" her mom scolded, in a not so serious tone. "Just text us next time you stay a bit later, okay? Also you can always ask for a lift. I don't want you walking around so late."

"I got distracted." I tried to defend myself, holding up my hands in defeat, but assured them that I would text the next time.

Yoohyeon raised her eyebrow at me and I felt my cheeks becoming hotter. She then grabbed my arm and dragged me to her (our?) room. Her mom just shook her head at us and went on doing what she did before.

"You missed dinner!" Yoohyeon stated.

"I'm not hungry anyway." It was true. Somehow I wasn't hungry at all, even though I haven't really eaten anything today.

I shrugged it off, while Yoohyeon eyed me suspiciously.

"Okay. Let's do your math homework then. I promised I would help, even though you probably wouldn't need my help if you would just pay attention in class."

"How do you know I'm not paying attention? You're not even in my math class."

"I have my contacts."

"So Bora rat me out? She is like our only friend."

"Maybe. Don't be mean. Plus, I know you. Too busy stuck in your own head to listen to your teacher."

I hit her arm. Hard. I mean, it was kinda true, but I didn't want to admit that. It doesn't give her the right to annoy me about it.

"Ouch!" she rubbed her arm where I hit it. "That hurt."

"Good. It worked then." I smiled.

"Meanie." Yoo pouted, before attacking me with tickles. "Let's - do - math." she said between tickling different parts of my body.

I waved my arms around me, trying to get her away from me. "Already done." I squeezed out between laughing.

"What? What do you mean, already done?" Yoo sat up abruptly, stopping her attack on me.

"I had some time at the shelter, so I already did math. I think I get it now."

"No way! Just like that?" she tilted her head, squinted her eyes and stared at me. She knows damn well, it's the only way to make me spill.

"Wellll, maybe I got some help." I replied, dreamily, blushing again.

I thought back to what happened. Did that really happen? Did we really almost kiss? I didn't just imagine that, right? Do I like Gahyeon? Like that?
