"So Brandon. What's up?" Beau asked as he sat down on the couch.

"We might have a slight problem." We both just looked at him as Brooke ran into her room to play with her Elsa doll. "Neal is coming up here in a few weeks to see everyone. He's bringing his puck bunny with him."

"Ah, the delights of miss Rosie Wilks." Beau said making us laugh. "Well. We are off to Cali tomorrow to see everyone and then we have major wedding planning to do so yeah. Hopefully we miss him."

"Beau you can't say that. He was your teammate and good friend remember." He rolled his eyes before going to get Brooke from her room. "How are you and Holli doing?" I asked Brandon making him smile.

"We're good thanks. She is meeting the family tomorrow which is extremely terrifying." I laughed and Beau walked in holding Brooke upside down as she laughed loudly.

"Daddy put me down!" She giggled as he carefully placed her down. He sat on the sofa and she jumped next to him and cuddled into his side.

"You'll be fine with her meeting your family." I told Brandon making him nod. "Just, warn her about things that might happen. Like, when I was meeting Beau's parents he constantly warned me that his dad would ask me loads of questions and probably take photos which he did. Just reassure her. She's probably as nervous as you."

"Thanks Danielle. It really means a lot." I smiled at Brandon and we both looked at Beau and Brooke who were looking through one of Brooke's Disney books. She was cuddled into the side of Beau with her thumb in her mouth whilst he quietly read to her. Brandon and I walked out and into the kitchen to get some teas for us and hot chocolate for Brooke. "I'm going to say, I literally couldn't see Beau as a father but I'm so impressed." Brandon randomly said.

"I actually agree. When I first met him, I didn't see him as a father figure. I actually didn't see us getting engaged either." Brandon laughed and Beau walked into the kitchen, yawning. "Tired?" I asked making him mod.

"Well, I'm gunna make a move. I have to see whether Holli's friends are over. Have fun in Cali." Brandon announced. I hugged him and he went and hugged Brooke. "Night Tiny!" She giggled and he walked out. Beau put Brooke to bed before walking into our bedroom.

"What time is Shane coming tomorrow?" Beau asked.

"12. I think that he's bringing either Bailey or Wade." Beau nodded and pulled me closer to him.

"I've missed this." He said with a smile before he placed a kiss on my forehead. "You really mean the world to me Danielle." I blushed majorly making him laugh slightly. He smiled at me before we both headed off to sleep.
In the morning, I was greeted by an amazing smell coming from the kitchen. I walked out and saw Beau cooking up some eggs, bacon and other little thing. He turned around and hugged me before sitting on the bar stool. His phone buzzed so he picked it up to see that Bortz had text him.

Beau. I really wanted to ring you but I just couldn't. I've been traded to St Louis. I needed to tell you first, you're my best friend and I don't want our friendship to be lost because I'm at a different club. Tell the family I said hi :) love you dude'

Beau just stared at his phone. Those boys were extremely close, they lived together from the start. Beau quickly typed in Bortz's number and rang him quickly.

"Come over now please." There was a muffled reply on the other line and Beau hung up before chucking on a hoodie that was on the radiator and walking into the living room. I followed him after turning the oven off and saw him sitting on the sofa. The door knocked many minutes later so I answered it to see Rob. He hugged me and walked straight over to Beau who immediately hugged him.

"Hey, I'm gunna miss you man." He announced making Beau laugh. We all sat down and Brooke came skipping out of her bedroom in her pyjamas.

"Uncle Tuzzo!" She shouted making him smile.

"Hey princess." She hugged Rob before going to get breakfast that Beau had made her. "You seemed so desperate for me to come over." He then said making us laugh.

"Bortz, you have literally been there for me from the start of my Pittsburgh career. You're my best friend and it sucks that you have to go to St Louis. However, I think that now is a good time to ask if you wanted to be my best man at our wedding." Beau asked making Bortz nod. I smiled at the two and Brooke then came running in.

"I'm going to be a flower girl! Aren't I mummy?" She asked making me nod.

"And you'll look gorgeous." I replied making her smile widely.

"Hey Dan. What are you saying? My little princess always look gorgeous. Don't you?" Bortz butted in making her nod which then made us laugh. She was definitely a clone of Beau. She had his sense of humour, his confidence and she was almost the image of him. We spent the rest of the day with Bortz before he had to leave and Shane and Bailey came to pick us up. It was such sad news about Bortz but at least we got to be in Cali with Beau's family for a while.

AH THIS CHAPTER IS SO SHORT AND SHITTY!! I am so sorry that this chapter is stupid and lame and that it has taken forever to be uploaded but I have had a very busy week. I've been at an ice rink for the last 5 weekends non-stop, I've had loads of school problems (aka those fuckers that we all call bullies) and I've been on a course all week, plus my boyfriend is having his knee operation this week because he broke in playing hockey, I've been with my mum's friend a lot as well as she has just had her 2 baby who is cute as hell. Oh, and I've started work!! Ive finally got off my bum and have done something.
