Love At First Sight - Beau Bennett

Danielle's POV

It was a few months since my first date with Beau and it hasn't been my last. We have been inseprible. All of the boys know that we are basically together although Beau hasn't asked me out yet. Today was my first day on the job as the Penguins' physical doctors. The Pens, apart from Geno and Sid, didn't know that I was their new doctor so it was going to be a surprise. Geno drove me to the arena and lead me into Dan Bylsma's office.

"Morning Evgeni. Is this Danielle Crosby?" He asked making Geno and I nod. He shook my hand and Geno walked out. "So, Danielle, are you prepared to work with these boys?"

"Of course. They are all so nice and I've known them for a while. Well apart from Beau, he's quite new to me." He laughed and showed me to a room with "Pens' Physical Doctor" on the door.

"So, do you want to go and, well introduce yourself to the guys." We both laughed and walked into the Pens changing room and the boys looked shocked to see me in the room. "So boys. I would like you to meet Danielle Crosby."

"Dan, we know who she is." Beau said whilst winking at me sneakily.

"She is your new physical doctor." Dan said making me nod. The boys all ran at me and hugged me as they cheered. Beau was obviously the first person to hug me before all of the boys joined in.

At The Game.

There had been a few fights which included Bobby Farnham needing stitches. It was amazing to be in this job. I know, that's weird. I stood at the end of the bench with my Pens tracksuit and hoodie with Physical Doctor on the back and Crosby down the sleeve. I was watching the game to make sure that Bobby's eye was ok when Beau got hit extremely hard against the board. I was going to start shouting but then I realised that I had to be professional and coach didn't know we were together. Beau didn't get up and there was a fight between the guy that hit him and Bortz. The refs stopped the fighting and signalled for me to go over. Geno helped me across the ice and as I got closer to Beau, all he was doing was screaming.

"Beau. Beau can you hear me?" I asked making him nod slightly. "Where does it hurt?"

"Head, collar bone." I nodded and carefully took his helmet off to check for swelling.

"Beau you really need to calm down and stop screaming. I know it's going to be hard but I really need you not to put yourself in any more pain." He quieten down and tried to stand up but he just went back down again.

"Fuck." He shouted as Geno skated over.

"Do you need help?" I nodded and Beau grabbed both of our arms and used all of his force to push himself up. H we went off the ice and everyone cheered for him. Geno helped him into my office and Beau just sat down in a chair.

"Beau you need to get your kit off." He groaned and one of the senior doctors took his kit off for him and helped him into his tracksuit bottoms. I then did all of the tests, he definitely had a mild case of concussion. He also had a quite a big lump on his shoulder. I touched it gently and he screamed.

"Babe that fucking hurt." I apologised to him and helped him out his Pens hoodie on. I loved the hoodies, they were black, had the logo on the front and their surname on the sleeve. It was really nice. I put a collarbone sling on Beau, it went around his neck and down to his hand. He took some tablets and insisted that he went back out to watch the game. He attempted to hug me but he couldn't because of his collarbone so he just kissed me instead.

"Let's go." I said whilst laughing. We walked out and a few of the crowd started cheering for him.

"Crosby." Dan shouted to me. I jumped onto the bench and stood next to him. "What's the diagnostic on Bennett?"

"Mild concussion, possible broken collarbone. He wants to watch the game before going to the hospital." He nodded and I jumped back down and stood by Beau. "You ok Beau?"

"I am in so much pain babe."

"Let's go to the hospital then. Please Beau I don't want you getting hurt more." He chuckled slightly.

"No I need to watch the end of game. I know your worrying babe but please, i can cope." We both laughed and that's pretty much what we did for the rest of the game. Once the game finished, Beau went to the bench and congratulated his team on winning. After that we went to the hospital and found out that he had a slight fracture in his collarbone. This meant that he would be out for a while. Bortz drove us back to their place before driving me back to Geno's. As much as I love Beau, I really wish that he would just make it official.
