Love At First Sight - Beau Bennett

Fourteen

After everyone left, Brooke went straight to bed leaving Beau and I clean up.

"I was thinking that we should start planning the wedding soon." Beau announced making me smile.

"That's a great idea. We could go and get magazines and stuff tomorrow." Beau nodded and we both sat on the couch.

Beau's POV

Danielle and I just sat there, we didn't really speak but in our relationship, we didn't need too. Just sitting by each other was good enough for us. I heard Brooke call for Dan and I so we both went to see what our gorgeous daughter wanted.

*Flashback*

I was finally back in California after a long season with the Pens so far. As I made my way to my parent's house I just felt so ecstatic to tell them about the amazing news that I was going to become a father. When I knocked on the door, my mom answered it and gave me a giant hug and lead me to the living room where my dad, brothers and sister were seated.

"So Beau, are you still with Crosby's sister?" My brother Shane asked.

"I am. That is one of the reasons that I have come here today." I announced making all their eyes fix on me. "Well, Danielle and I have been together for a while now and we are still going strong even though she is in Toronto and I'm in Pittsburgh."

"What are you trying to get at Beau?" Bailey complained as I sat down in front of all of them with the biggest smile on my face. My mom looked worried, I really hope that they were accepting.

"I'm trying to say that I'm 23 now and I am ready to grow up." My mom looked down at her lap. She definitely knew and she definitely wasn't happy about it. "Danielle is pregnant." I announced. They all just stared at me. "And I'm the father." I literally sounded like a giant kid. I couldn't help myself though, I was so happy.

"You mean, I'm going to be an aunt?" Bailey asked making me nod. She jumped up and hugged me, soon followed by Shane and Wade who congratulated me with a calmer approach.

"Guys if you're not okay with this, please tell me. It's better that we get it sorted." I announced regarding my mother's expression.

"Beau, we're genuinely so happy for you." My mom's comment shocked me. She hugged me and then my dad did the same. "We love you Beau and that child is going to be the luckiest child ever."

*flashback over*

It was so good that my parents, Wade, Bailey and Shane stuck too their comments. Bailey, Wade and Shane both loved Brooke and I believe that Shane was coming down in a few days before we all travelled back to Cali together. My mom and dad were the best grandparents and Brooke loved them back equally. I'm just so glad that we have such a loving environment surrounding us. After sorting out Brooke, Dan and I went to our room and put the tv on.

"Krissy just text me." Danielle announced. "It says that Catherine, the girl he has been seeing, has just left his after agreeing to be his girlfriend. He's extremely happy about it as well." That made me laugh. I was so glad that Kris had finally found someone. He has been the best friend to Danielle over the last few years so it was amazing to see him have someone just as good as himself. I looked next to me at my beautiful fiancé and kissed her on the top of her head. This girl was my world and I could never picture my life without her. We fell asleep shortly before being woken up by Brooke.

"Daddy! Can we go shopping?" She asked as she repeatedly jumped on the bed. "Mommy please!"

"Ask daddy. He might have training today Boo." Danielle replied making Brooke stare at me.
