Twenty Six

Today was the day that everyone was coming over for a catch up. I was so excited. Robert had asked if he could come over early because he was obviously travelling from far away. He left really early so that he could make a day of his visit and obviously we were so excited. We didn't tell Brooke though, we wanted her to be surprised. Beau was sorting everything out in the kitchen and Brooke was running around in her pyjamas.

"C'mon Brooke. We need to get you changed." I announced making her stop running around.

"But mom!" She shouted which made me chuckle slightly. "I want to wear my Minnie Mouse shorts."

"You can wear them. We just need to get you ch-" I was speaking when the door knocked. "Brooke do you want to get that for me?" I asked. she nodded and ran to the door. She had been doing so much for me since we told her that I was pregnant and I have no idea why. But she opened the door and screamed.

"UNCLE TUZZO!" I smiled and he picked her up and carried her into the living room.

"Hey princess. How have you been?" He asked her as he sat down on the other couch as she just chilled on his lap.

"I've been helping mom and dad out!" She sounded so happy about that. I was so grateful to have such an amazing family.

"You have?" Robert asked making her nod. "How did you turn out so perfect?" I smiled at the two as he went to his bag and quickly pulled out a teddy bear. "Now, I know that I haven't played for a while so I haven't got you a bear from a team. However, Isabelle, my girlfriend, was out and she rang me and asked me to come to this shop because she saw something that you'd like. So, I went down and we both bought you this." He passed her a build a bear and she smiled widely.

"Thank you so much uncle Tuzzo!" She hugged him and he smiled before placing a kiss on her head.

"Where's Beau?" Robert asked. "Oh, Sunshine!" He shouted making Beau walk in.

"Hey Bortz." Beau greeted before sitting next to me on the couch. "Wow Brooke, who got you that?"

"Uncle Tuzzo and Isabelle." She told him.

"Isabelle is actually the reason I'm here quite early." Robert started. "I was wondering if she could possibly come down here." He asked.

"Of course. You don't need to ask." Beau replied.

"I also need your help with something. I really love Isabelle and I want to propose but I don't know how." This was amazing. I can't believe that Bortz was going to propose. The door knocked again so I got up and opened it to see Kris, Catherine and Alex.

"Danielle!" Alex shouted making me smile. "Where's Brookie?" He asked. I pointed over to the couch and he ran over. I hugged Kris and he laughed.

"I've missed you so much!" He said.

"I've missed you too Krissy!" He kissed my cheek and went over to Robert. They caught up and after a while, everyone turned up including Isabelle. "Hey, you must be Isabelle." I greeted as she nodded. She seemed so nice.

"Can you please tell me why Robert wanted me here so quickly?" She asked.

"Just wait and see." She smiled and walked in. It was so fun having all of the family over, Sid was so excited for the baby. Throughout the night, Bortz kept going to speak to Beau about how he was going to propose but he was so nervous. I've seen Bortz with his girlfriends before and never has he ever said about marriage. I was so nervous for Robert. Everyone was just hanging around, catching up when Robert gave Beau and I the nod.

"Um, Issy, I was wondering if, um, look. I really love you, you mean the world to me and I would love it if you would marry me?" He said really quickly. Everyone was completely shocked.

"Are you serious?" She asked making him look really worried. "Of course I will." He breathed a sigh of relief before placing the ring on her finger and pulling her into a hug. Everyone cheered for them and Isabelle blushed like mad.

"I don't mean to take the attention of Bortz and Issy but Danielle and I have some news." Beau spoke making everyone focus on him. "We found out what we're having. We're having a boy." Sid and Kris' face lit up. Although Brooke played hockey, it will never be as intense as if a boy played hockey. So I just felt extremely sorry for our son because he would have to play hockey if he liked it or not. My family is incredible and for the rest of the night we all just laughed and had so much fun. Robert and Isabelle were already planning things out, they were both ringing their parents and Kris had told us that he wanted things to be more serious between him and Catherine. It was amazing to see everyone taking a step further in their lives and I'm glad that I get to be apart of this amazing group of people.

A/N - so I'm trying to update a lot more. I feel like I never update this story and the truth be told it's because I'm more nervous writing this story. It has so much more reads and everything that I get scared about it. So, if I'm not active on here for a while it's because I'm coowning my friend's account. If anyone gets the opportunity to coown then you should do it. It's an amazing opportunity. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this update and yeah, bare with me because I'm getting back on my feet.
