Thirty Two

After we at our food, Sidney drove us all to the rink for Brooke's training. You could tell that she was confused as to why Beau wasn't with us, but she did love Sid. I was holding Jace when Sid went to go to the toilet. Jace was sleeping and I felt someone sit next to me. I turned to face them and saw Beau sat there, I literally had no idea what to feel.

"Look, babe, I'm so sorry. It's just training has really stressed me out and I did forget about Brooke's training. But I told the interviewer that my daughter is my priority at the moment and that you need me and he was fine about it. He let me move my interview to tomorrow morning. But I really can't get out of this training camp so I will speak to Brooke about that. I'm so sorry Danielle." I smiled at him and kissed him.

"It's fine Beau. You just need to tell Brooke because I cannot tell her that you can't come." I told him. He nodded and took Jace off me, who had just woke up.

"Hey buddy! You see what your sister is doing?" He spoke as he carefully turned Jace around to see the ice. "That's what you'll be doing in a few years." My smile grew and I rested my head on Beau's shoulder. "I hate fighting with you Dan."

"Oh really? Cause I love it." I sarcastically joked making him laugh. He kissed my head and Sid walked back over. He smiled at Beau but went to leave. "Where are you going?" I asked him.

"Beau's here now. I should get going."

"You can stay if you want to Sid." Beau spoke.

"Jess needs me." I stood up and hugged him before he walked off. I sat back next to Beau and we made our way down to the locker room when Brooke was finished. I was holding Jace and Brooke spotted Beau and ran up to him. He picked her up and she laughed.

"Daddy I missed you today!" Beau smiled slightly before putting her down and picking her bag up.

"Were you good for uncle Sid?" She nodded and we walked out to the car. "Guess who's coming to see us Brooke?"

"Tanger?!" That reminds me that I need to have a good sit down with Kris, I miss him.

"No, Rob!" He told her.

"Uncle Tuzzo!!" Beau smiled at her and I just laughed. We made our way back home, Brooke was talking to Jace for the entire journey. We pulled up at the house and saw Rob and Isabelle stood outside. "AUNTIE ISSY!!" Brooke screamed as she got out of the car. She ran to Isabelle and she picked her up.

"Hey Brookie! I missed you!" Isabelle spoke making Brooke smile.

"Wow, Brooke, you've replaced me!" Rob joked making Brooke frown.

"No uncle Tuzzo! You're my favouritest person ever!" Rob smiled and we went into the house. As soon as we got into the house, I took Jace out of his carry car thing and Brooke ran to get something to show Rob.

"Dani, can I hold him please?" Isabelle asked. I nodded and passed Jace to her and he immediately cuddled into her. "Oh my god Jace, you're so precious." She whispered making Rob smile at her. He literally loved her so much. "Where's Brooke gone?" Isabelle asked. I shrugged and went upstairs to see her being sick in her bedroom.

"Oh my god. BEAU! GET UP HERR!" I shouted and heard a few footsteps run up the stairs. I was now knelt next to Brooke, who was crying a lot, and was rubbing her back. I should have moved her to the bathroom but I couldn't see much damage, we would probably have to get new flooring for her room now. Robert ran to go and get stuff and when she was finished being sick, Beau picked her up and she cuddled into his chest.

"Baby what's wrong?" He asked as he used a cloth to wipe her mouth.

"I don't feel too good daddy." She whimpered. "My belly hurts." Rob came running back in with a wet towel in his hand and a teddy that Brooke loves. "Daddy, I think I'm gunna be sick again." Beau carried her to the bathroom and she threw up more. Isabelle came up the stairs with Jace and looked worried.

"Jace started crying so I changed him. Is Brooke ok?" I shook my head and took Jace off her. Robert started cleaning the floor but I told him not too. He insisted though. Beau came back into the room with Brooke in his arms.

"Dan, I think we should take Brooke to the hospital. She's saying that it hurts when you touch her stomach." Beau spoke.

"We'll stay here and look after Jace for you." Robert suggested.

"Are you sure? We can take him." Beau replied.

"Positive sunshine. Just keep us updated." I passed Jace to Rob and he kissed Brooke's forehead. "Get better soon princess." She smiled and we quickly made our way to the hospital. The doctors did a bunch of tests, they tried making her drink and eat but she would just throw up. We were then sent so Brooke could have a hospital bed. This wasn't looking good.

"Mr and Mrs Bennett, I'm Doctor Kyle, after looking at all of the results from Brooke's tests, we've discovered that she actually has appendicitis. If you don't know what that is, it's when  the appendices becomes inflamed and very painful. There have been cases where the appendices has burst, so we need to operate on Brooke in the next few days. While we wait, we will keep attempting to feed Brooke. Unfortunately she will need to stay here."
