3 years later.

I opened up the curtains and frowned slightly. Today was the day that Brooke went to school for the first time. Beau didn't have any games today thankfully, I don't know how he's going to take in the fact that Brooke is in school. She is definitely a daddy's girl. She looks and acts just like Beau. He's even got her into skating and she is desperate to start playing hockey just like daddy. Nothing really has happened between Beau and I. We haven't got engaged yet but it's ok. I am hoping that someday soon he will propose because, I mean, I really want to get married now. Beau woke up and went to make Brooke some breakfast as I went to wake her up.

"Brooke." I whispered as I shook her slightly. "Brooke. Wake up." I said in my normal voice. She looked at me but closed her eyes again. "I'll have to call daddy and you know what will happen if Daddy finds you sleeping." She giggled slightly.

"The tickle monster will attack!!" She giggled making me laugh. She got up and put on the outfit that I put out last night. I went to see what Beau was doing and saw him making some food for Brooke. Brooke quickly came running in and sat at the table before Beau brought out her food. "Daddy! When can we see Nanna Lou and Papa Kirky?" She asked making Beau smile. For my 20th birthday, Beau really didn't know what to get me, however he did take me to California to stay with his family. We stayed for about 3 weeks and it was the best time ever. Since then we've been down there with Brooke as much as we can and she loved it.

"Soon Brookie. Now, eat up and we'll get going." She smiled and started eating as Beau walked up to me and hugged me. He still looked like the 23 year old Beau, not the 26 year old father that he was now. Sidney is now 30 and still plays. He is married to Jessica and they have a daughter called Hilary. She is a lot more girly compared to our Brooke. Brooke finished her food and demanded that we left. She got in her car seat and Beau drove off. I could already feel the pain. We drove to her school and Beau sighed as he took my hand. Out of all the years I've known Beau, I've never seen him cry. I think today will be the day. We parked up and all got out. We walked to the reception and saw a bunch of other parents.

"Mr and Mrs Bennett?" The woman called. Beau walked over and I walked with Brooke. We got to the woman and she, along with some of the male staff, were quite shocked to see Beau stood there.

"We're not actually married." I muttered making her chuckle slightly. People seemed to find it funny that Beau and I were not married. I don't see why. One of the male staff lead us to a cute little room, we saw a few parents saying their goodbyes to their children. Beau knelt down and hugged Brooke.

"We will see you when you get home. I love you Brookie." He said as he placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Love you more daddy!" She replied making him smile. "Can we go skating later?" He nodded and hugged her small body before he stood up. I then knelt down and she pulled me into a hug. "Mommy, please can you and daddy stay?" I shook my head and she cried slightly. "I love you mommy."

"I love you too Brooke." I kissed her and stood up before walking out with Beau. I looked back and saw Brooke crying slightly so when we reached the car,i turned to Beau and burst out crying.

"Babe, it's ok." I looked up and saw him shed a tear. "She'll be fine. We'll go skating with her later and then it will just get easier." I nodded and we got into the car. We drove back to the apartment in silence, I just stared out the window. Why is it so hard when they go to school? We pulled up at the apartment and when we pulled up, Beau and I both jumped out of the car. We walked up to our floor and walked in. I went straight to our room to place my jacket and shoes in my wardrobe. After I did that, I walked out and saw that Beau had made me a hot chocolate and put on the Titanic. I smiled widely and sat next to him, keeping my phone close in case Brooke's school rang. We watched the entire film when we realised that it was time to pick Brooke up. Beau ran into her room and picked up her skates before he picked up my skates and we headed down to the car. I decided to drive because, let's face it, I hardly drive at all. We got to Brooke's school and shortly Beau walked out with a happy Brooke in front of him.

"Let's go skating Mommy!!" she shouted as she got in the car. It was the fans and family skate today so there was going to be many people wanting Beau's attention. I have a funny feeling that Brooke will not let them have his attention. We pulled up at the CEC and made our way to the changing rooms. Sid was there with Jessica and Brooke ran up to him. "Uncle Sid!!" She shouted making him smile.

"Hey beautiful." Beau helped me out my skates on and I sat and waited whilst he put his on. Sid put Brooke's on for her and she stood up and ran towards the ice. "Your daughter is crazy sis." Sid announced making us laugh.

"Your niece is crazy." He smirked and we all walked out to see a lot of fans. They all actually didn't swarm Sid and Beau like I thought they would. Of course a load of them asked for pictures and photos but they didn't crowd the guys which was cute. Sid and Brooke were skating laps around the ice when I noticed that Beau wasn't next to me. I turned around and saw him talking to the equipment guy so i carried on skating. After a while he skated over and took my hand in his.

"This is nice huh." He broke the silence.

"It definitely is." He exhaled loudly before he stopped skating. A lot of people were looking at us, including Sid and Geno. I'm officially scared. Beau stopped what he was doing and got down on one knee. Oh my god. Literally, everyone was watching us. "Beau?" I asked making him exhale deeply again.

"We've been together for 4 years now Danielle. We have raised the most beautiful daughter ever and we have accomplished so much. We have proven the media wrong and we definitely showed people like Bylsma that we were meant to be together. When I met you, you were 19 and I will admit that I instantly fell for you." Everyone as staring as I let many tears role down my cheeks. "You're the love of my life Dan and I just want us to be a proper family. I want to have another kid, I want people to know that you'll never leave me and I most definitely want you to have my last name. I want to see you proudly saying that your Mrs Bennett and I will be watching you proudly because you will be my wife. Will you marry me?" I choked up and nodded. He smiled widely and placed the gorgeous ring on my finger before standing up and hugging me as people cheered. I cupped his face in my hands and pulled his face closer to mine.

"You've made me so happy." I whispered. I kissed him and he smiled. We pulled away and Sid, Geno and Letang all skated over and hockey stopped in front of us, covering us with ice.

"We forget the confetti." Letang announced making me laugh. I was engaged to Beau Bennett. Oh my god. A load of the fans took photos and congratulated us before Brooke skated over to us.

"Sup baby?" Beau asked as he picked her up.

"I'm tired daddy." He nodded and we skated off and took our skates off. We said bye to everyone before we made our way back home. I'm engaged to Beau. I was never going to get over that.
