"eve!" eleven yelled, dropping to her knees.
"eve, are you okay? el, something's wrong." mike said, panicked.
mike and el tried shaking eve awake, but she wouldn't budge. her skin was grey and her eyes were bleeding.
el checked her pulse. she let out a sigh of relief confirming that eve was still alive.
"barely breathing." el mumbled, letting out a small sniffle.
el took a hold of eve's hand, holding it to her chest as tears fell down her cheeks.
"just hold on a little..longer." she whispered.
"we gotta go." lucas declared, looking around frantically for anymore agents that were lurking throughout the school.
then an all too familiar voice was heard, making el's blood run cold.
"leave them. step away from the children."
papa.
the girls knew he would be here. trying to get take them back so he could treat them like his little pets again.
eleven would never bring herself to say this, but she hated her papa. he hurt eve physically and verbally, more than he had hurt el. so just seeing him made her want to scream.
scream until she made his ears bleed.
"no! you want them, you have to kill us first." mike threatened.
bad choice of words, mike. bad choice of words.
"that's right!" dustin agreed, standing next to his friend.
"eat shit!" lucas swore.
agents approached the boys, grabbing them. preventing them from going anywhere, preventing them from rescuing the girls.
"oh, no! no! no!" mike yelped.
"no! no! get off me!" dustin demanded.
papa started to approach the girls.
el had a mix of sadness and anger written on her face which she knew for sure only amused papa more than anything else.
"you idiot!" mike screamed.
"no!" lucas yelled.
"get off me!"
"ow! let go!" mike hissed, trying his best to fight out from their restraints.
papa kneeled down before them, placing a hand on eve's cheek. he looked to el, resting his other hand on her cheek.
"i'm here now." he said to the girls.
his voice was the first thing eve heard when she started to regain consciousness.
she whimpered, wanting to get as far away as possible from him.
