memories of el killing the demogoron, saying goodbye to mike and her sister flashed through her head.
el jolted awake, coughing up something. she let out a grunt after wiping her mouth with her flannel coat.
she then stood up, looking around the empty classroom.
she made her way out of the room, going down the hall in a bit of a daze. she rounded the corner, stopping as a wave of nausea over came her.
"eve?" she breathed heavily. "mike?"
she started calling for them, screaming, crying for them.
el came across a red glowing hole in the wall.
the gate.
she peered inside it, seeing men with flashlights on the other side of the gate.
a man got close to it, kneeling down shining his flashlight through. el gasped, pressing her back up against the wall next to the red portal. hoping they didn't see her.
she whimpered, hearing unfamiliar voices shouting. she couldn't make out what they were saying.
she pulled herself back over towards the hole again, peering inside it making sure that the cost was clear. she pulled her hand through it, making an opening that was too small for her to crawl out of.
eleven stepped back from it, wiping the goo from her hand onto her flannel jacket.
she narrowed her eyes at the gate, pointing her hand out palm facing the red portal.
bricks started to fall, as more of the red goo started to separate. making more of a bigger opening for her to crawl through. so, she could find her friends and most importantly to find her sister.
after she was done, she crawled through the gate. pulling apart the gooey substance that separated the other side and the surface from meeting.
eleven grunted as she pushed herself through the gate and back onto the surface. she didn't have time to recover before she made a run for it, heading straight for mike's house.
