Dream was in his room. Thinking.

'Screw you Dream. Screw you' George's words played out in his head.

The way George's eyes were filled with sadness. The way Dream could tell he gave up.

Dream spun a switchblade in between his fingers

George hated him right now

"Clay?" Sapnap called through the house "Dream? Are you okay?"

"We're not trying to bother you- we just want to make sure you're here and not doing anything stupid" Bad spoke up

Dream looked up at his door, debating on whether or not to speak up. He heard them coming up the stairs, and soon after Sapnap slowly opened the door "Oh thank God you're here and not.. out there fighting Techno again"

Dream didn't say anything.

"Are you okay?" Bad asked, walking in behind Sapnap

"Is he okay?" Dream asked quietly after a second

Sapnap and Bad shared a glance "Uh- well- we left a little after you did. I assume he passed out.. he was wasted"

Dream laughed unamused and sniffled a little before looking up at them "Yeah no shit"

"He- he didn't mean any of it, you know that right?" Sapnap asked. When Dream didn't answer he continued talking "He was shit-faced drunk. Nothing he said meant anything" Sapnap tried.  "He was wasted Dream"

Dream didn't say anything for a while "You don't have to try and make me feel better. He said it. Whether he was drunk or completely sober, he said it. I can tell he meant it too"

"Dream you say a lot of stupid things when you're drunk," Sapnap said and walked over to him. He and Bad sitting on either side of him

"Doesn't mean you don't mean them" Dream mumbled

"Dream-" Bad sighed "Whatever you guys are now, or whatever you guys were... I doubt he meant what he said. I mean- the world hasn't been the best the past year, but you and he have been so much happier since you guys met. He was probably just taking any anger he had out on you... he wasn't talking to you- he was talking to the world, and how much of a hard time it's been..."

"Yeah- we didn't know George before this, but you can just tell his day gets better when he's with you," Sapnap said

Dream shook his head "He said everything was pointless. He said he's given up on everything. Including me. He basically told me to fuck off. What other information or proof do you need to figure out that he doesn't want to see me? I think it's pretty clear" he said, everyone going silent for a second "You guys can leave. I need to be alone- there's nothing you guys can do- plus Sap you should probably rest, I saw how much you drank" Dream said softly

Sapnap smiled a little but sadly "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine" he mumbled
