Sitting shirtless on a chair biting down on a cloth as I struggle to get the damned thing she shot into my arm. Biting down harder and harder into it as I finally manage to pull out a wooden missile from my arm.

Tossing it on the ground I then stitch and bandage the relatively small wound. The only reason the damned thing didn't blast through my arm was because of the strengthening. I am proudest of my Reinforcement magic.

The scripts and notes say that this is the most difficult of magic to learn due to you needing a clear understanding of how things work... if you don't then it would reject the magic and instead of strengthening it would act as a poison that was forced into their system.

Though this reigns true.

I have tried to reinforce others but it never worked. In the end, I can always use that to kill someone... if the fire doesn't do it for me.

But due to this, I skipped out on learning different things like curses, healing magics, and Runic magic which I would have loved to have but I do not understand the interaction between runes and reinforcement just yet.

Finally bandaging my wound, I rest back into the chair with a heavy sigh.

"Luck is on my side and I should just hope I haven't run out of it. I have my last line of defense and Saber wouldn't risk fighting me knowing I can still use it," I then shut my eyes, "But I wonder if she can destroy it from within? No... I doubt that much. I should just be careful to not waste that trump card on something lesser."

Lifting myself off the chair I rest my hand on the back of my neck, rubbing my still sore muscles from all the strain, fighting, stress, and a pretty shitty bed that I slept in.

Grabbing a chair I place it up against the wall with the flag pole that I borrowed from the church. If all goes according to my plans they will have it back soon enough. Using the chair to act as an altar to offer the relic.

I then make sure that the circle is perfect.

"Let's get this over with."

I lift my hand as I recite the chant.

Let silver and steel be the essence.
Let Stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.
Let white the color I pay tribute to.
Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall.
Let the four cardinal gates close.
Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate.

I hereby declare.
Your body shall serve under me.
My fate shall be your sword.
Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail.

If you will submit to this will and this reason... Then answer!

An oath shall be sworn here!
I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven.

I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell!

From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three greet words of power,
Come forth from the ring of restraints,
Protector of the Holy Balance!

Throughout my chanting, the room grew blood red as lights shined from the carved lines. The Earth shook as if the Grail heeded my words but it was all for nothing. In a moment I thought that it was possible and that the Grail had responded but... there was nothing.

"Was that some sick joke?" I sneer at the circle, "You are fucking with me aren't you?"

Then there was a crack, my eyes widened as a flame burst from the center of the summoning circle that erupted in a blazing inferno that scorched the walls surrounding us - holding my gaze at the center as I see a figure being formed from within the flames.
