Chapter 27

After inviting them inside we all gathered around the coffee table, although I offered for the couch they preferred to sit on the floor but I didn't have any pillows for that very purpose but they didn't seem to mind.

Though Jeanne, who is sitting right behind me with her hand on my leg, is busy silently cursing them under her breath with some french spells of her own. Though I guess they could tell because she didn't even try to hide her glares.

"Did... something happen?" Rin asks.

I shake my head, "Just isn't much of a morning person."

"She doesn't seem to be a people person either."

I chuckle - I actually feel the exact same way she does but won't openly admit it, "She will be fine," I look down at Jeanne, raising my eyebrow at her hoping that she would at least try to look a little bit less hateful.

I then look at Rin, Shirou, and Saber, "How did you know we were here?"

Rin crosses her arms, "Archer. I asked him to keep an eye on you and I figured it out that way."

"Don't trust us?"

"He doesn't. So I let him scope you out for his own sake and he seems to be a little bit more at ease."

I then rub my chin, we have been practically flirting with each other all the way. All the while being spied on. Kinda weird but I won't ask if she knows the exact details.

"So, why did you come for me?"

"We figured something out," Shirou says, "We don't exactly know but we may have an idea on who the other Master at the school is."

I nod, "So you plan on testing the theory?"

They nod, "We just wanted to inform you, and considering the affinity of this Caster we might need the backup."

"Considering that my enemy would be with them I agree. Coming to me first was smart," I then tilt my head, "When do you want to meet?"

"Tonight, at Shirou's place."

I then rub my nose, "I am just going to need a little bit more information on Caster."

Saber spoke first. Explaining that Caster herself managed to summon a servant that is serving under her. A high-tier Caster - I don't really know who would be able to accomplish something of that level but I will have to be careful then.

Karashima may be a weak mage but he is crafty and knows how to pick an ally.

She seems to have plenty of mana on her side due to the mana she is stealing from the people in her territory. I am kind of annoyed that we cut ties with Kadoc and his servant because putting two Casters against each other would have been quite the spectacle.

Rider is dead. That is all they know, they have met Lancer but have yet to see him again. Berserker and Assassin are unaccounted for. This is a rather slow war if I have to be honest, but then again we have been actively searching for the enemy and they have been searching for us as well.

I don't expect to see Karashima tonight but... I fear that if we do we will be left to finish them off once and for all.

With that sorted, I escorted them out but realized that Rin hovered around for a bit longer to talk to me.

I then tilt my head at her as both Saber and Shirou leave, "What's up?"

"Are you sure it is fine for you to join us? Your Servant doesn't really seem to be very happy about it."

I then shake my head, "You guys just happened to swing by at a very unfortunate time."

She gives me a confused stare and then her eyes widen, "Huh? Are you two-"
