We left them to deal with it. After all, we have been practically doing the same and if they were still alive after all this time then my faith wasn't misplaced. Besides... I could tell Jeanne was getting restless and wanted to be done with this damned thing.

I don't blame her, I am almost ready to go into a full retirement from Magic and staying away from it for as long as I can.

We spent the entire day at home discussing what comes next and letting my body rest. I was still feeling the numbness that I expected to have disappeared by now... but there is nothing you can do about being stupid.

Though... if Caster is dead that means so is Mordred. Looks like she took my vengeance with her to the throne of heroes. Knifing bitch, well I should actually give her props - out of everyone she was the most efficient.

Well... if she is still alive then I won't hesitate to make myself part of this war.

Stood in front of Shirou's house, I can sense that they are all inside. Jeanne said she would rather stay outside - afraid that she might run her mouth considering that whatever they may want to do with the Grail is up to them.

I just need to make sure before they do what they want to do... that I get to do what I want to do.

"You want to destroy the Grail?" I arch my brow at them, "Well that is certainly something I never expected anyone to do."

"Is there a problem?"

I nod, "Yeah. The problem is that I still need the Grail for myself - not to take for myself however just because of something I need to do. Just some assurance."

"Is that even possible?"

I nod, "For me, maybe. Even if I fail to achieve my goal I won't stop either of you from doing what you want to do. As for us... we only need to a moment's contact with the Grail and then I will bid you all farewell."

"Are you leaving?"

I lift my shoulders, "I have no idea what to expect. I might die, I might become something that you need to kill. Who knows - but rather have the security of knowing that I wish you all the best and that I already said my goodbyes."

Saber then asks, "You have dealt with Grails before... right?"

I nod, "I have. It was my field of expertise for some time if you do recall me telling you," she nods, "Then that is all that I will leave you with. I assume you have a plan on how to deal with the remaining Servants and winning the war?"

They all nod, "We hope to see you at the end."

I nod, "So do I," I lift my hand to wave them goodbye.

I don't recall us ever being close and there were plenty of times that I could have helped them but didn't due to the circumstance. At least they understood that each of us had a different war to fight and right now... the final battle is something that can make or break it for me entirely.

Stepping outside, Jeanne appears from the shadows, "Now we just wait for the Grail to resurface and work your magic on it."

I nod, "Correct."

She reaches for my hand, "Then we should get some rest. We have been doing plenty of that lately."

I chuckle, "We have. Though... you know what is at stake right?"

She nods slowly, averting her gaze from me, "It felt like we were never going to get this far. How does it feel to cheat death multiple times?"

"Pretty painful," I admit with a chuckle, "But... what matters most is the person at my side."

"Does it now?" she giggles, "Good."

"This... should be our last night here if I am correct."

"(Y/N)..."

"Hmm?" I look at her, her face hidden between her hair I could see that her face is flushed.

"Then let's make this night count."
