Looks like we don't get a chance to avoid it. We decided to head back to our current living arrangements only to be face to face with Caster's master, Kadoc.

He narrows his eyes, "So you came for me."

I shake my head, then give him a confused stare, "I am afraid you got it the wrong way around. We live there," I gesture to the hotel, "You are the one that arrived after us."

His gaze wanders as if he was busy thinking, "That so... then what happens now?"

I lift my hand to stop Jeanne from saying or doing anything, "For now, nothing. That really depends on your standing and whether or not you are sided with Karashima."

He shakes his head, "Karashima is weak and insufferable. I know that he will only use me for my Servant as without a Caster their plans are nothing."

"What plans?"

He shakes his head, "I don't know. All I know is he needs you and he needs my Servant."

"So that makes us allies, right?"

He lifts his gaze, almost confused at the sudden turn of events, Jeanne then barks at me, "This isn't what we agreed on."

"Just bear with me," I try to calm her before turning back to him, "I don't plan on killing anyone that doesn't stand in my way, and out of mutual dislike we can spearhead our own forces against him before he becomes too powerful along with Berserker and Assassins' masters."

He nods slowly, "I will have to discuss that with my Servant first," he states, "For now - we can stay out of each other's way."

I nod in agreement, "Something I agree on."

As we watch him leave, Jeanne then in a hushed tone scolds me, "At least he has the mind to consider his own servants' wishes."

I turn to her with a glare, "I saw something that I didn't consider at all."

"I don't want to hear it-"

I stop her, "Wait - this deal hasn't come to a conclusion at all. I merely asked to see his own perspective and to find out more info on our current situation. I trust them as far as I can see them-"

She counters with a cruel tone, "And you, me as long as you have your command seals."

"Not true," I defend myself, "If it were the case I would have already used one but instead promised to not use them as long as we can come to terms with everything and so far that has been working."

The muscles in her face tense, I then sigh lifting my hand to rest on her shoulder, she steps back to create space between us.

"Jeanne. Trust me, you don't have to trust them at all but I only ask for you to place your faith in me."

"I don't have 'faith' for anything."

I then nod, "Okay, that one is on me, I should have used a different word. Just... trust me, okay? I am not a fool that is leading us both to the slaughter."

She mutters something to herself before sighing, "Fine. I know you are not as stupid to get yourself killed but-"

I stop her, "I will consider our options only after I have your stance next time."

She then storms off towards the hotel. I rub my forehead in frustration - man it is always something with that woman. She is so sensitive to some of the things I do and when I look too deeply into it I get shot down.

Man... maybe confessing so early on was a pretty terrible idea considering that we don't really get along most of the time and barely manage to work together. I shake my head - that isn't entirely true, it has been better lately and completely manageable.
